Happy New Year!
We have just four months until the 2025 USASA National Specialty! Our Futurity Judge will be announced shortly.
Let me know if you have any new ideas to make our Futurity more memorable and special to you.
Please review the existing rules to our program and make sure any suggestions are within these guidelines.

Great News! The USASA Board has approved my request to remove the requirement of submitting a copy of the AKC Registrations for your Individually Nominated Puppies! In earlier times, it was necessary to confirm the registration in this manner. It is a redundant exercise now since we are having a Superintendent record the entries. They have the ability to confirm the AKC registrations for your dog. So no more copying or scanning of those AKC Registrations! Yay! The rules will be updated and my confirmation letters as well. I'm always working to make the Futurity better for you and me too!

Good Morning Futurity Entrants,
The Superintendent has scheduled the Futurity according to the numeric order of the Divisions. The catalog has Division 1, Oldest Entries, first in the judging order. It will continue to be judged in order of Division 1, 2, 3 & 4, so youngest puppies will be last. Dogs first, then bi***es. I have been advised by the Show Chair, it must be judged in this order. 🤦‍♀️ I was not asked about this and the judging program is not sent to me for verification. We have already noted this with the Show Chair - it will not happen again. So, in the interest of positivity, this will add a different twist to the Futurity this year. Have those older entries ready early and the baby puppies will get a nice rest before ring time. Please help spread the word. Kathleen Sumner, Futurity Chair.

🐾 FUTURITY CLARIFICATION! 🐾

If you have multiple dogs in Futurity that go Select, you may get another handler to cover the additional dog for you and show the dog for Best In Futurity. But only for Best In Futurity! The dog must originally be shown in its class by the correct party; ie: Owner Co-Owner or Breeder.

If you ARE attending, make sure you include Futurity as an additional class in the drop down menu option of the InfoDog online entry. It's so easy this year! 🙂

ENTERING THE 2024 USASA FUTURITY ONLINE @ INFODOG.COM

Hi All, Hope you are finding it easy to enter your Futurity Nominations with MBF for 2024 Nationals. If you are entering online, notice that when you Select Classes, there are several drop down options for Additional Classes. Here is where you will find your Futurity Entry Classes by Division. Simply choose the proper Division for your entry. (It was listed on the Individual Nomination confirmation letter you received from me) There should be no additional charge for Futurity. You can also enter Sweeps etc. using the Additional Classes option.

Question: Who can show my Futurity Entry?

Answer: Only the breeder(s)/owner(s)/co-owner(s) who appear on the AKC registration papers submitted to the Futurity Chair may show the dog/bitch in the Futurity classes. No Professional Handlers (persons who receive a fee or payment for showing dogs) may show in the Futurity unless they are the breeder(s)/owner(s)/co-owner(s) of the dog/bitch.

Happy New Year 2024! We are looking forward to a Great Futurity Event at the 2024 USASA National Specialty.
Let me remind you of a few things:
1. Please check your deadline dates for nominating and mark them on your calendar! If you nominate your litter within the first 4 weeks of their birth, it is only $25; regardless of the number of puppies.
2. If you nominate your Individual puppies before they are 4 months of age, it is only $100 per puppy. You do not have to Individually nominate each and every puppy in your litter.

4. If you are beyond the last acceptable date, I will not be able to process your nominations. Please mark you calendars! Thank you!
