After 40+ years in the horse business, (Wild Wind Stable in Marlborough MA before 1970 NBF) I would welcome not having the responsibility of owning all this farm etc. and being the trainer, instructor, coach, bookkeeper,scheduler,secretary, groom, grounds keeper and complaint department. We are holding an auction here August 30 to sell the farm. Listing price is now $675 down from the original $1,100,000. Realizing that the new buyer would have to have 1. horse experience and knowledge, 2. a great work ethic in order to do everything themselves like I did and not pay a barn manager etc, and 3. the money at least for a solid downpayment. No one seemed to have all three of these
things. Therefore, an auction. I can offer owner financing to
the new owner who offers/bids over $600,000. I plan to continue my career with horses, judging, stewarding and managing horse shows from a new base somewhere near or on Cape Cod. Until farm is sold, auction or otherwise, lessons,
boarding etc continues as always here.
So, now, down to a few horses, a TON OF TACK is for sale at
super inexpensive prices!!!!! Please do not ask me to send photos or list every last thing. We have extra bridles, reins, martingales, breastplates, saddles, blankets, turnouts, sheets, girths, bits, polo wraps, bandages, saddle pads, jump cups, and every thing else!
