What a fantastic weekend at October GMHA!
The grounds were beautiful and the weather was perfect. These 3 were super stars, took the hustle and bustle of the show grounds in stride and all made respectable choices. It was the first overnight show for all 3 and we are so proud of them.
Theodore put in 2 solid tests with his mom on board, turned heads everywhere he went and was able to overcome insecurities and put his trust entirely into his mom.
Dio, only 3, settled right in like he had lived there forever and playing in the river was his favorite part! It was beautiful to watch his relationship with his mom strengthen over the weekend.
Fia schooled on grounds and showed off her gorgeous gaits, athleticism and intelligence. She truly is one of a kind and we are thrilled to watch her come along!
Thank you to the volunteers and judges for making it such a great weekend. Until next year!

We are hiring!
Scarlet Day Farm is looking to add a Weekend Stable Manager to our team. This is a temporary position through the Spring of 2025, however could turn in to a permanent position for an exceptional employee.
Duties consist of daily stable management, horse feeding, wellness and care, medication dispensing/monitoring, turn out/in, blanketing, prepping feed and adhering to the daily routine prescribed by barn management. We have some easy older horses, but many babies and high energy performance horses, so we do require extensive horse wellness and handling experience. We also require handling to be done kindly, with a consistent and fair training philosophy.
Scarlet Day is a great place to work - we support our employees - we always make sure you have what you need to be successful in your work day, treat everyone fairly and are clear about how we want things done, for our staff and our boarders.
Pay range - $17-$20/hour
Hours - 40/week paid bi-weekly W2 direct deposit
Weekends Required!!!
Friday 8-9 Nightcheck, Saturday and Sunday 6:30 - 4:30 and 8-9 Nightcheck are required with flexibility for the other hours (i.e. you can pick what works best for your schedule).

Big fun adventure for DGR Kismet (Teddy) and Dionysus ESH (Dio) yesterday, both in training with in-house trainer Nicole Day.
3 year old Dio did super with schooling on grounds, settling in to a busy show environment and going through his in hand work with his mom. He learned about braiding, standing at the trailer to eat hay, going to new places alone like a big kid and that horse shows are super fun.
Teddy worked through some confidence building in warm up and did his first ever Dressage test with Nicole on board. He was given the time and support (and cookies) he needed to decide that dressage showing is pretty cool after all. For his second ever dressage test with his AA owner he was softer, more relaxed and much more confident in the ring. He earned a 1st, 2nd and Intro Reserve Champion.
Hours of planning, preparation and learning go into each event so that these young or green horses are building confidence and trust in themselves and their ability to do their job.
This "set them up to succeed" approach indeed made for successful day for all at the beautiful Vienna Farm
