Did you know that active sniffing lowers a dog’s heart rate and respiratory rate? Sniffing is an incredibly healthy way to promote relaxation in dogs. Consider offering your dog more opportunities to sniff, whether that be taking them for a slow walk on a longline, scattering treats in the grass for them to search out, or introducing them to a novel scent that you purchased from your local outdoor store for them!

Acclimating your dog to the sounds that they’ll experience during grooming is a great way to set them up for success before their appointments! Consider finding sounds that your dog will hear during their grooming appointment on YouTube, such as blow dryers and hair clippers, and then play them at the lowest volume. Offer your dog treats continuously as they play. When the sounds stop, so do the treats!

What a paw-some weekend celebrating our Grand Opening at Central Bark Fox Valley! 🐾 🎉

We had an incredible time celebrating the grand opening of our new location with the Aurora/Naperville community! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out for this special day!

We kicked off the festivities with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the Aurora Regional Economic Alliance, followed by an afternoon filled with delicious food from Billy Brick’s Pizza, exciting prizes, and fun activities for dogs and their families. Everyone enjoyed fantastic food and treats, engaging games and activities, and exclusive grand opening specials on dog day care, boarding, and grooming services!

Wow, what an incredible time we had at our 16th Annual Franchise Conference in Las Vegas! 🎉

The energy was off the charts, and it felt amazing to be together! We really got to celebrate how “Central Bark has a Winning Hand.” Looking back at our performance in 2024, we cheered for all the milestones and accomplishments we’ve hit together.
