We have a new two legged arrival! Welcome to the family Parker Dan Mason! we can’t wait to take you home to meet your 4 legged siblings! Huge thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for taking care of them while we are at the hospital 💙🐾💙

The last two weeks here at Masons Mountain Dogs have been extremely emotional, our beloved Rosie fell ill and stopped eating and drinking completely. After multiple visits to the vet, with blood work all coming back normal no one could figure out what was wrong with her. For a week and a half we tried everything to get her to eat, finally resorting to running IV fluids to her at home to sustain her and having almost daily visits to our vet… unfortunately because of stress and dehydration this sent Rosie into early labour. It breaks our heart to say the puppies did not survive their early arrival into the world, however even while sick Rosie did her best to care for them but they were just too premature to save…

After delivering her puppies and 5 more days of no change or improvement, Rosies health continued to deteriorate so we opted to do an “exploratory” gastrointestinal surgery as a last stitch effort to try and save our girl. To ours and our vets complete surprise an intestinal blockage was found that was not able to be picked up on the X-rays that we had shot the week before!!! Thanks to our amazing vet and his team the blockage was removed! And Rosie returned home this past Monday!

We still have a long road to recovery, tons of weight to gain back and a long rehabilitation process but the out come looks positive!! Although we are heartbroken by the events of the last two weeks we are thrilled that our Rose girl is home with us and on the mend. I can truly say I don’t know what I would do without her here, and I’m so thankful that she’s such a fighter and never gave up through everything she went through!
