Its kitten season again. 5 adorable little babies. 4 are polydactyl. They will be going up for adoption/rescue in about 3 weeks. Let me know if anyone wants a kitten or knows someone who does.

Somebody felt the need to use a heavy duty chain to padlock this old style exercise bike to a bike rack in front of a small local grocery store. I mean... so many questions here lol

If your dog has thunder/fireworks phobia please talk to your vet about Sileo. Its a bit spendy but will give your dog relief from the terror of thunder or fireworks noise.

Maybe a good idea to check for eyeballs glowing in the dark with a flashlight before letting pets out after dark.

UPDATE - 1/21/22 0845
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 4 has confirmed a mountain lion was killed yesterday, south of Great Falls and outside the City limits. The lion was a sub-adult male and was taken by a hunter with a current license.

There is no confirmation the lion above is the same one seen in several videos taken inside Great Falls.

At approximately 6:30am this morning, 911 dispatchers received multiple reports of a lion walking in the area of 21st S N and 3rd Ave N. Deputies from the Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner's Office conducted a thorough search of the area and were unable to locate the animal.

We urge community members to remain vigilant in paying attention to their surroundings. Reported sightings will be investigated.

It is likely wild animals travel through town frequently but go undetected. Like most community members, we hope these animals travel through unscathed and without causing any harm to humans or pets.

MOUNTAIN LION SIGHTING! The mountain lion that has been lurking around town for the last few days was spotted early this morning near 21st St and 6th Ave N. Patrol officers investigated the sighting and observed tracks in the snow but didn't see the huge cat.

Please be cognizant of your surroundings, including looking up into trees. And, be sure to keep a close eye on small pets.

If you see the wild feline please call 911 with the location and direction of travel. If you have a chance to safely keep an eye on the large kitty please do until officers arrive.
