Every year, Dr. Hendricks organizes our Christmas With A Cause fundraiser (formerly the Block and Bridle Christmas Charity) where 100% of donations go toward helping local families. With some of the leftover donations from 2024 we were able to provide strollers and Easter goodies to Stork Support of NoCo. Thank you for all your generous donations!

DID YOU KNOW-
There is a right and wrong way to tie a rope halter. This knot pictured allows you to be able to still untie the knot if the horse pulls back and tightens it. It also will not slip if a horse pulls back.

“The bean”
If you’re on the fence about whether you should schedule a sheath cleaning with your float for your gelding, we always strongly recommend it. Horses build up dirt and body oils around the end of their urethra and this forms a solid mass we call a “bean”. Regular cleaning can keep beans from building up and becoming large. Over time, large beans can cause issues like inflammation and infection or difficulty with urination.
