We loved getting to meet Sadie! Sadie is a four month old Golden Doodle that we had the pleasure to meet for the first time! Her slightly muddy legs and nose showed that she had a great time digging holes this morning before coming into the clinic. 😊

We were all thrilled to meet Oakley! Oakley is a 12 week old Bernedoodle that is training to become a therapy dog to middle school students. He did fantastic at his first puppy visit today, and we are so excited to see how he progresses in his training!

Please help us welcome Dr. Max Schermacher to Riverside! Dr. Schermacher grew up in Plymouth, Wisconsin. He graduated from veterinary school in 2024 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from St. Norbert College where he also competed in the Men's Track and Field team for four years. He is happy to be back in the Green Bay area! Now that his schooling is over, he is excited to travel and hopes to soon welcome some pets into his life. In his free times, he enjoys weightlifting, volleyball, camping, and spending summer weekends at his family's cabin. He is very excited to start his career at Riverside!

He has been doing an AWESOME job for us so far and we are so happy to have him on our team! Please give him a warm Riverside welcome! :)

Parasite Prevention

Spring is in the air—which means fleas and ticks are too. Having a prevention plan is the best approach when it comes to protecting your pet against deadly heartworms, intestinal parasites, and flea and tick infestations. Learn more about #ParasitePrevention.

Dental Scaling

What does it look like when your pet has a dental cleaning? This video of our receptionist Morgan's dog, Sooner, shows part of the cleaning process during a dental procedure. Our technicians remove calculus, tartar, and plaque by using a combination of tools to crack off large pieces followed by our ultrasonic scaler to ensure we're cleaning the entire tooth, including under the gumline. (As a side note: look how far back in the mouth Sooner's teeth go! There is no way to access those rear teeth or the inner aspects without general anesthesia to keep both pets and staff safe.)
