February is Pet Dental Health Awareness Month! 😁 Here at TailWaggers, we offer teeth brushing as an a la carte service that can be done while your dog is at daycare/boarding or an add-on to your dog's grooming appointment, but there are many things you can do to maintain and improve your dog's dental health!

🐾Regular brushing with dog-friendly toothpaste is great for preventing tartar build up and maintaining healthy teeth! It's good to start brushing your pet's teeth when your dog is a puppy to get them used to the feeling.
🐾Dentals at the vet are necessary to remove build up on your dog's teeth that regular brushing cannot take care of. Regular brushing can help you avoid the vet, but some dogs are simply genetically predisposed to dental issue and need all the help they can get!
🐾Small dogs like poodles, chihuahuas, and Yorkshire terriers are more prone to dental disease than large breeds, but dogs of all sizes benefit from good oral health!
🐾 It's about more than just teeth—dental disease can be very painful and bacteria can even spread to other parts of your dog's body! Keeping a close eye on your pup's teeth and having them examined at their regular vet check ups can help prevent all kinds of problems.
