💜💜🐶🐾💜💜Urgent, loving foster home needed for TIMMY— the adventure buddy you’ve been waiting for! This energetic, treat-loving pup is packed with love, loyalty, and a playful spirit. He’s looking for an active home (furry sibling optional!) with a yard to explore and a human to share snuggles with after a day of fun. Timmy’s ready to hike, fetch, and steal your heart.

He is 2 years old, 63 pounds, and possibly a mix of Greater Swiss Mountain dog and Irish Terrier. Timmy knows basic commands, including "sit" and "down", but his excitement gets the better of him so "wait" and "stay" could use some work. He is intelligent and treat motivated which will help with brushing up on his training.

Timmy is a great companion and will be game for all kinds of adventures. He sits quietly in the car and loves to look out the window and smell all the smells. It is VERY hard for Timmy to be in the kennel all day. He needs a home where he can get his energy out, then relax. We recommend home without young children.

Timmy is loving and loyal, playful and fun, and he will keep you active. But he is also a dog who loves soft pets and snuggles, and who wants to cuddle up with his person at the end of the day. Can you help Timmy become the dog he is meant to be?

Mazy is vetted, spayed, good with other dogs, and working on housetraining — an easy, cuddly foster! Her last foster says she’s an absolute sweetheart who just wants to snuggle and make her person happy.

At only 30 pounds and 7 months old, this Springer Spaniel/Bulldog mix (!!) is ready to bring some joy into your summer while PAW finds her forever family.

💜💜🐶🐾💜💜LACEY has a big heart. This sweet, loving, ~58lb puppy is still getting used to her long legs and generous size, but her puppy energy makes her the perfect playmate.

Lacey's foster describes her as "sweet and beautiful," and it's easy to see why. The curious, engaged pup loves people, other dogs, and new adventures. Whether on a leash or in the car, Lacey is always eager to explore her surroundings. When she's not busy playing, the not-quite-one-year-old loves to curl up for a cozy nap, dreaming of the next exciting outing.

💜My name is DOBBY💜

I’ve spent another year at the rescue—another Fourth of July—waiting.

Every morning, I wake up hoping today is the day someone finally sees me. I wag my tail. I sit just how they taught me. I try to be good, to be noticed. Some people stop and smile. Some even say I’m sweet but no one has applied to adopt or even foster me…yet.

The holidays are the hardest. I watch younger dogs get adopted with new names and new families. I stay behind.

A few weeks ago, they even took me on TV. They said maybe if more people saw my face, someone would fall in love. I smiled for the camera. I wagged like crazy. I did everything right.

But no one has asked to meet me.

This morning, the volunteers tied a red, white, and blue bandana around my neck and gave me extra treats. One knelt beside me and whispered,
“Maybe this year, Dobby. Maybe today is your day.”

I try not to hope too much. But I do.

Because somewhere out there, I still believe there’s someone who’s been looking for a dog just like me.

And maybe… this Fourth of July will be the day we finally find each other. ❤️🤍💙

These two beautiful, bonded cats are about 7 years old and have lived together since they were adopted as kittens. Both are spayed, microchipped, and have been healthy, happy indoor cats their whole lives.

✨ Nelly (short-hair, white/brown/black) is playful, sweet, and loves to hang out by your feet. She’s calm, curious, and gentle with kids — and sometimes gets the zoomies just to keep you entertained!

✨ Nya (long-hair, black/brown) is a reserved queen who bonds closely with her person (or, let’s be honest… whoever feeds her!). She’s calm, affectionate on her own terms, and loves snuggling once she trusts you.

They’ve never been around dogs and aren’t sure how they’d feel about them, but they’ve always gotten along beautifully with each other. We believe they’ll adjust well to a loving new family.

She is a willowy young girl with long thin legs and a beautiful face framed by perfectly shaped and expressive brows. Rayne has a sweet demeanor, she loves to move, and she loves getting scratches; especially behind her ears. She is a joyful pup - with a happy and loving nature.

Rayne was rescued from PG County's euthanasia list and now she needs to find people to give her the life she deserves. Rayne LOVES to walk, run, fetch a ball, and play. She is a girl with energy and would be great for active adopters who enjoy hikes or long walks. She would do best with a fenced yard to play in. Rayne is eager to learn and eager to bond. Her ideal adopter will work with her on training - and she is smart so she will learn quickly.

💜💜🐶🐾🐾🐶💜💜TWIX is a 17 lb furry and playful little fellow! He is very social and wants to say hi to every dog he encounters. Twix loves people too, he loves his walks, and is good on the leash. He is crate trained and housebroken, and he loves to run around in and out of the house playing chase and tug of war. His foster says that he enjoys playing as much as he can in the backyard. Twix is a great size to accompany you on all of your outings. He loves new places and new faces and big surprise, he also loves to chase squirrels! When Twix is done running around, his foster says that he loves to snuggle up and sleep. What a good boy!

💜💜🐶🐶OLLIE is a sweet boy who just wants a good snuggle. He was separated from his brother in southern Virginia and seeks a home where he can find a new sense of belonging and comfort. If you are Ollie's person/people, he will climb in your lap and seek physical affection. He is a lover looking for a willing recipient.

At three years old and 27 pounds, Ollie is a great size for any lifestyle. He is good with other dogs but loves people even more. He was a favorite at the shelter from which he came. Ollie is a sniffer and will exhaust himself on a good walk where he can explore the new spring scents. He does love exercise but his sense of smell often keeps him busy in a small area. Ollie is young, sweet, and eager to please. He would be equally great in a home with a yard where he can play chase with a ball as he would be in a home where he didn't have yard but enjoyed multiple walks a day -- just as long as there is snuggle time in between!
