We love having Lennon stay with us, he's so sweet and fun!
Chloe, a 1.5 year old female, Golden Retriever has completed her Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Obedience Training Programs! She loves her off-leash time! Kudos to her owners, who did a great job with her!
The Most Interesting Dog in the World!
Ash and I don't always play scent works games, but when we do, we prefer to do it to the thumping beat of an upright bass.

Gunner has also been working on treadmill training for a few days!

Bobcat sighting!
We had a visitor last week! I watched a bobcat cross Old Summit Rd onto our property, walk along the field and cross the bridge to the opposite side of the stream. I didn't think to video until it was running along the stream!

Big Milestone for Remi!
When we started the desensitization/counterconditioning (DS/CC) exercises with Remi, we were over 150 feet away from the fence. Even at that distance, we had a hard time managing her reactivity. Just look at her now! It's taken lots (and lots) of repetition (and boiled chicken!), always proceeding at Remi's pace, to get to this milestone. We'll be back at it next week too!
Scent Work Games with Calhoun!
Cal the Vizsla is a natural playing scent work games!
Working with Dale today!
That Dale is looking more like a hunting dog every week!
Here's a great example of what's possible when the whole family gets involved with their puppy's training. It's a video that a client of ours made for a school project. Jameson takes his puppy Lennon, the 6-month old, male, Golden Retriever, through some of the basic obedience training exercises. You get an A+ from me Jameson!
The Kennel Command
Generalizing the Kennel command with Tucker! I use the Kennel command with my dogs to tell them to go in their crate; in the car; on a boat, canoe, or kayak; on a hunting platform; on the scale at the Vet's office! For this exercise, Tucker goes on the tire platform, in the crate and on the treadmill. We even throw in Sit (Stay)! Tucker gets distracted by Belle and Buddy behind him, but uses impulse control to redirect to the task. Way to go Tucker!
