To say our hearts are full would be an understatement. We pulled this misunderstood death row doggie on 12/28/2020. Timmy! He was tied to a shed his whole life and starved for food and attention. He was terrified and supposedly aggressive. I (Heather) saw a giant love bug who was terrified, neglected and in serious need of a food, love, a bath, and a lot of obedience training. I brought him home with intentions of fostering him. I knew immediately that there was no way I could foster him in an apartment and not p**s off all my neighbors. I took him to boarding and scrambled to find a foster that could accommodate his needs. In steps an Angel on earth Doug Bittinger with Piney Mountain Foster Care to do what I could not. To say fostering Timmy was a challenge and an emotional roller coaster would be an understatement. But Doug took the challenge in stride. Y’all this man is a saint!!!! He takes in tough cases and rehabs them. He transformed this sweet boy, and after MONTHS of failed attempts to get him transported due to a laundry list of unexpected, ridiculous and down right frustrating issues he finally made it to Animal Rescue Network of New England in New Hampshire. Where he will now have to learn to be a house dog. 😂 (See pic in comments) I LITERALLY balled my eyes out when I saw he was FINALLY in New England. Thank you Doug and Christine for taking on this incredible boy and caring enough to look beyond his flaws to see the diamond he is. Would you believe this beautiful boy was a horrible unhealthy mess when we got him.

Meet Izzy! She is a 4 year old Heeler mix. She knows basic commands, is housebroken and crate trained. She is good with male dogs and most female dogs. She is not cat friendly. Cat = squirrel. She would do ok in a home with slow and proper introduction to younger kids but would be best in a home that had older the kids. She is VERY sweet and very smart. She is a high energy breed so she would do best with a fenced yard or an active family.

Meet Chance! Chance was literally hours from being euthanized when we pulled him. He is absolutely precious. He is good with men and kids, he is being fostered in a house with a 15 and 16 year old. He also goes to their ball games. He is housebroken, crate trained, knows basic commands. He is non reactive to other dogs. He honestly could care less about them. He is pretty chill. He will be cat tested on Saturday. His foster here in TN is smitten. He said if he didn’t want to continue fostering and saving other dogs he would adopt him in a heartbeat. He’s fostered quite a few dogs and this is the first time he has ever said that. So we know Chance is special.

Meet Jed. He is a 5 year old Walker hound mix. He is good with Kids and men. No cats or small dogs. He is a hunting dog. Down here in the south when hunting dogs don’t hunt as expected they are either left when they get lost, dumped or killed. We are working on getting him dog tested this week. He is so sweet and so handsome. He just wants all the love.

Meet Cooper. He is a 7 month old hound mix. Cooper is a super sweet boy. Great with kids and men. Not cat friendly. He’s a hound cat=squirrel 😂 We are working on dog testing him this week. This sweet boy needs a house with a yard. He was surrendered to animal control because he howls.... 😡 He’s a hound y’all. Hounds bark and howl. But that’s something that is easy to curb. He is a lover boy. They should have named him Romeo. Because he is a heart stealer.

Meet Deuce! Deuce is a 5 year old Beagle. He has a pretty chill personality. He is good with dogs, cats, kids and men. He had a very rough start in life. He was found on the road burned on his belly and head. He almost died. He was nursed back to health but eventually became a permanent outside dog. 😭 A family member got him and gave him to us. He has some good allergies and is missing a few teeth. But nothing a good diet won’t cure. Some of his hair will never grow back. But other than that is in great health. He is SUPER sweet and SUPER spunky. He does a little dance when he is excited.🥰

Look at this Chonky boy!!! 😱 We pulled his Chunk from animal control after he was surrendered. This death row doggies name is Odin. He is just a happy go lucky chunk in need of a lot of walks and a furrever home. His foster mom Summer and foster sister Echo are taking good care of him while he waits on transport to New England to his furrever home! 🥰

Who dis peanut! Meet Maverick. She was surrendered to an animal control officer and brought straight to us. This poor baby was almost traded for a pack of ci******es like some of her litter mates. 😭😭😭 She was full of worms and has a respiratory infection. She is on the mend now and loves playing with all her foster siblings. She was accepted into a rescue up north and will be transported as soon as she is healthy enough. 🥰

Meet Max! This Black and Tan Beauty was a dead dog walking on doggie death row. Luckily we were able to get him a foster home just in time and into a rescue up north where we are positive this goodest boy will get adopted quickly.

Moose was found by one of our fosters wandering the streets of Knoxville. 😭 After weeks of trying to find his owners he was finally adopted out to a loving family where he had a big doggo brother to show him the ropes!

Fawn & Halle were adopted out and after some tragic events with their family they were returned to the rescue. These beautiful girls are litter mates and bffs. They are pending adoption where they will have a huge fenced in yard. Little human siblings to love and be loved by and warm beds to sleep on at night.
