We are overwhelmed with 33 dogs. We have 6 dogs double kenneled. We have dogs in the staff bathroom, reception area, and manager office. Every adoption opens up a kennel for another dog, so you are saving two lives when you adopt. Please share to help us find adopters for our dogs (link below to view all of our dogs) 🐶🩷

Pictured is Foxy. We saved Foxy from Animal Control and now she is at our shelter until she finds her furever home. She is approximately 5 years old and is a foxhound mix. She is new to the shelter so still needs to be dog & cat tested. 🐶

If you are interested in visiting our adoptable animals, stop by the shelter! Have questions? Call us during business hours! 🐾❤️

Do you know which breed of dog is the fastest? Let’s show you! 🐾🩺

Allow us to introduce Zamboni, a 4-year-old Greyhound. As his breed is uncommon at our clinic, we wanted to highlight him. Greyhounds are capable of reaching 45 mph, making them the fastest of their kind! Despite this, they are generally one of the most laid-back, calm breeds when at home. Thanks Zamboni for being a perfect boy for your visit!

⚠️ Penny’s Close Call: A Reminder About Heatstroke in Pets ☀️🐾

Meet Penny, a sweet 9-year-old Chihuahua—and a lake-day enthusiast! 🐶💚

One very hot day, Penny spent an afternoon by the lake with her family. Even with shade and water, the heat got to be too much, too fast. She became weak, wobbly, and started panting heavily. It turned out she was on the verge of heatstroke—and it could’ve turned serious if her humans hadn’t acted quickly.

Heatstroke can happen in minutes, especially in small dogs, flat-faced breeds, and senior pets.

Watch for signs like:
🚨 Heavy panting or drooling
🚨 Weakness, confusion, or wobbling
🚨 Vomiting or diarrhea
🚨 Collapse or seizures

What saved Penny?
✅ Quick action
✅ Moving her to an air-conditioned space
✅ Cool (not ice-cold) water and wet towels
✅ A vet check to make sure she was okay

Your pet can’t sweat like we do—so YOU are their best defense.
Keep them cool, hydrated, and out of extreme heat. And if you’re ever unsure, call us.
