Loose leash walking in the neighborhood today. Scout is doing such a great job!
A little leash training with Willow. This is very short, hard to juggle leash, treats and camera. But, she was a hot mess on a leash. Pulling, chasing butterflies, paying no attention. This is my first session with her. She did amazing!!
Training session with Chip. We are working on loose leash walking and always coming back to the left side. His little girl that will be using him for support eventually is much stronger on her left side. So I'm teaching him that when I say "side" he needs to be close on the left side. He is starting to catch on pretty well.
Niko had her last regular training session this week. We went to Home Depot and her mom was in charge. I was there only as support and Niko was a rock star! This girl is turning into a fine member of the family! Our weekly visits have come to an end but I will continue to check in on her monthly to make sure shes staying on track. Thanks to her parents for working with her, it really paid off!
Niko had her training session in Home Depot this morning. Lots of smells, sounds, and distractions. Our focus today was "heel" , "watch" , and "stay".....she did pretty darn well for her first visit at such a highly chaotic location. Next week, same location to strengthen these skills.
The happiest dogs on earth! I have sure missed our time together!
