If you wish to see a specific cat, dog, or rabbit please email [email protected]. All animals do not attend every adoption event because they are in foster homes and we must arrange for their transportation to either the PAWS Center or the Greenfield PetSmart for an adoption event. We’re urgently looking for foster homes for a litter of 6-week-old coonhound mixes. These sweet pups need a safe, loving space to grow, gain weight, and discover what it means to be loved before they’re ready for adoption. ♥️🐾

Noise, crowds, and bright flashes of light? Not every pet thinks that’s a delight. 💥🐾 This Fourth of July, give your pets a quiet, cozy spot away from the chaos. Because a safe pet = a happy celebration! 🎆🐶🎉🐈‍⬛

Did you know?
More pets go missing on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year. Animal control agencies across the U.S. report a 30–60% increase in lost pets between July 4–6 due to fireworks and large gatherings.

But don’t worry—there are simple steps you can take to help your furry friend stay calm and safe:

1️⃣ Let pets out to potty before the fireworks/festivities start.
2️⃣ If you must walk them during, use a properly fitted collar/harness and leash.
3️⃣ Set up a quiet, secure room or crate with their favorite blanket, toy, or hiding spot.
4️⃣ Turn on calming music or TV—and sit with them if needed.
5️⃣ Offer a long-lasting treat or puzzle toy to keep them busy.
6️⃣ Make sure your pet is wearing a tag and is microchipped, just in case.
7️⃣ If your pet goes missing, contact local shelters and post in neighborhood and lost/found pet groups ASAP.

We had a pawsome time at our PetSmart adoption event on Saturday — and we hope you did too! Even better news: three lucky pups found their forever homes! 🐶🐱💕 Jose, Oakley and Milo!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who shared our event, stopped by to say hello, and especially to the amazing families who opened their hearts and homes to a new furry baby. 🐾❤️

We’re also incredibly grateful to our dedicated PAWS volunteers who made this event possible — your time, energy, and compassion truly made a difference! 💖

What better way to beat the Dog Days of Summer than with swimming, games, tasty snacks—and supporting a great cause? Join us for our Annual Pool Party benefiting P.A.W.S. Hancock!

📍 Location: Kathy Dowling Aquatic Center (Riley Pool)
📅 Date: Saturday, August 16th
🕚 Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Bring yourself, your friends, your family—and of course, your precious pups—for a splashing good time! Last year was such a blast, and we can’t wait to see everyone again for another round of fun in the sun and fundraising for a PAWSOME cause!. 💦🐶🎉

🎟 Entry Fees:
• $20 per human + 1 pup
• $3 for each additional human or pup (Max $30 per group)
Pay at the door – cash or credit accepted! 😍🐾♥️

‼️ Don’t forget: Please bring proof of current rabies, bordetella, and distemper vaccines for your pup(s).

This Saturday, June 28th, from 11AM to 2PM, PAWS Hancock will be at PetSmart in Greenfield (2211 Barrett dr.) with a group of very sweet, tail-wagging puppies who can’t wait to meet you!

Each of these precious pups is searching for the same thing: a forever family to love and be loved by. Could that be you? 💛 When you adopt, you’re giving more than a home — you’re giving hope!

Milo, Bruno, Oakley, Alli, Eric and Jose are:

Happy Whisker Wednesday!

Meet Jose—our sweet, super smart, full of life, cuddle bug looking for his forever home! 🐾💛 Jose is 5 months old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and a mixed breed with a heart of gold!

He’s a total people-lover who gets so excited to meet and greet new friends. He lives peacefully with other dogs and five cats in his PAWS foster home—he tries to play with everyone, and while not all the cats are impressed, they coexist just fine! 🐶🐱

Jose lives for adventure—car rides, running outside, chasing balls, or just lounging and taking in the world. 🌎⚾ He has plenty of playful energy, but when it’s time to rest, he’ll happily curl up in bed and sleep the whole night through with you. 💤

He’s crate trained and sticks close when out and about, even off-leash. Yes, he has a mind of his own and would benefit from some continued training—but if you’re looking for loyalty, love, and endless fun, Jose’s your guy. 💙
