If you wish to see a specific cat, dog, or rabbit please email [email protected]. All animals do not attend every adoption event because they are in foster homes and we must arrange for their transportation to either the PAWS Center or the Greenfield PetSmart for an adoption event. Since January, Shelby and her family have been generously caring for rescue animals through P.A.W.S. 🐾 Their favorite foster companions? Sweet pups in need of love and care!

Shelby shared, "To foster a dog/puppy and get them out of a shelter and into a forever home is so rewarding." 🐱💕 We absolutely agree Shelby! Foster care can be such a necessary stepping stone for a rescue animal, especially if they aren't ready for adoption yet! See a need, fill a need! Tuesday night foster plea!

P.A.W.S. is in need of foster homes for a few puppies! These sweet babies are too young for adoption right now and they are waiting for us to assist them! They are all a mix breed and cute as can be! P.A.W.S. would like to help them but we need more foster homes in order to do so!

If you have a safe space in your home, a lil extra time and lots of love to give, then foster care might be for you! All supplies and vet care are provided by P.A.W.S! This February, we are shining a light on our AMAZING Foster Care Volunteers!

🐾🌟 Foster February Feature: Meet Heather and her family! 🌟🐾

Heather and her family are one of our dedicated foster families, they have been foster for 2 years and caring for rescue animals with P.A.W.S. since May 2024. Heather and her family LOVE to foster kittens, providing them with love, socialization, and a chance to thrive in a home environment. Their first foster kitten, Raven, found her forever home thanks to their loving care!

Heather's passion for fostering shines through in every animal she cares for. Through her experience, she has seen firsthand the transformation that love and socialization can bring to homeless pets. Heather shared, "I especially love it when I'm able to get our fosters comfortable around my own pets. My big dog LOVES the babies, so she's in her happy place when they aren't afraid of her. Plus, this tends to make them more adoptable, knowing they've been socialized to other pets." Socializing rescue animals is always a plus so we can help set them up for success in their forever homes!

Saying goodbye is never easy, but it's part of the fostering process! Foster care is a necessary stepping stone for animals not quite ready for adoption yet. Heather also shared, "It is hard to let each litter go on to new families.........So whenever my babies are ready to go for adoption, my only wish for them is that they're loved just as much in their new homes as they were here."

Heather's story is a beautiful reminder of the difference each of us can make in the lives of animals in need. Thank you Heather for fostering and for ALL that you do for our rescue animals!

Update! Smoky has left for the night. Thank you to everyone who came out to help socialize him!

Smoky is in desperate need of socialization, so he's hanging out at the PAWS center tonight until 5. Come and see this adorable bunny and help him learn that not all humans are bad!

Our center is located at 1224 W Main Street in Greenfield. Doors open at 4pm and the store closes at 7. Smoky will be leaving at 5.

Ali has joined us at PAWS!

We don't know much about Ali, but believe she's a young new zealand mix. She's got a case of weepy eye, so she receives medication twice a day until the vet can see her next week. She came to us from the Rushville Animal Shelter, who was awesome in providing care for her. Her eyes are already looking better thanks to Rushville's team. She was found as a stray and nobody reclaimed her.

Ali is not available for adoption yet. She should become available after being spayed and her eyes being treated, so sometime at the end of this month or the beginning of next month. She's not afraid of people or dogs, loves kale, and is working on litterbox training.

Want to support Ali and other critters just like her? Consider making a donation to PAWS. We need things like rabbit and guinea pig food, shredded paper bedding, Timothy hay, and we hardly ever get treats or toys for the bunnies and guinea pigs. Yesterday was Tabby Tuesday! And currently we have got some PRETTY ADORABLE tabby kitties available for adoption at Petsmart in Greenfield! (2211 Barrett dr) What is a tabby? So glad you asked! Tabby cats are not actually a specific breed but rather a description of their characteristic markings. Tabbies can be brown, gray, orange, or even black, and their markings include stripes, spots, whorls, and bands. They typically have a "M"-shaped mark on their foreheads. Look at these CUTE faces!
