We benefit from hugs while your pet gets therapeutic laser treatment!
Cold Laser Therapy uses a focused light to stimulate the regeneration of cells. This can help with issues such as arthritis or tissue injuries. It increases blood circulation, decreases nerve sensitivity, reduces pain and swelling.
Call us to see if your pet can benefit from this service! -AVVC 4145460606

Congestive Heart Failure is a chronic condition in which the heart isn't able to pump blood effectively. This can lead to fluid in the lungs, causing low oxygen levels and shortness of breath.
Owners might see less exercise tolerance and faster breathing. One way to monitor this is at home is to keep log of your pet’s resting respiratory rate. The average of these should be beneath 30 beats per minute. If the average is 30 or higher, consult your veterinarian immediately.

Keeping Pets Safe and Warm During Freezing Weather: Quick Guide

When the weather outside is frightful, it's crucial to make sure your furry friends are safe and comfortable. Here are some essential tips for pet owners:

Indoor Safety
1. Bring Them Indoors: The best way to keep pets safe during freezing temperatures is to bring them inside. Even outdoor pets should have a warm shelter.
2. Warm Bedding: Provide your pets with plenty of warm blankets or a heated pet bed.
3. Avoid Space Heaters: Keep space heaters out of reach to prevent accidental burns or fire hazards.

Outdoor Precautions
1. Limit Time Outdoors: Keep outdoor time to a minimum and supervise pets when they are outside.
2. Proper Shelter: If pets must stay outside, ensure they have a dry, insulated shelter. Raise the shelter off the ground and face the doorway away from the wind.
3. Check Paws: Inspect your pet's paws for ice, salt, and snow, which can cause frostbite or irritation. Wipe them clean after walks.
Health and Diet
1. Hydration: Make sure pets have access to fresh, unfrozen water.
2. Balanced Diet: Feed your pets a well-balanced diet to maintain their energy and body heat during colder months.
3. Regular Check-ups: Visit the vet to ensure your pet is healthy and up-to-date on vaccines.

Additional Tips
1. Reflective Gear: Use reflective collars and leashes for visibility during early morning or evening walks.
2. Pet-Safe Salt: Use pet-safe de-icing products on your walkways to prevent paw irritation.
3. Emergency Kit: Prepare an emergency kit with essentials like food, water, and medications in case of power outages or severe weather.

By following these guidelines, you can help ensure your pets stay safe and warm during the chilly winter months. Stay cozy and keep those tails wagging! ❤️🐾❄️

Vet visits can be pretty scary for our furry friends. It’s not fun to be examined and poked by strangers.

It’s important to communicate your pets’ behavioral patterns to help us handle them safely and make them as comfortable as possible.

We encourage treat visits for this purpose! If your pet needs socializing, call in advance and we will set aside some time to show our patients that we’re not so scary!

Exposing your pets to other animals and people is important to get them to socialize. This could decrease anxious behavior and help them appropriately communicate with their environment.

Dog parks might be the first thing on your mind. However, there’s no telling whether the animals are vaccinated or free of parasites.

Your vet might encourage daycare or boarding facilities. These facilities request updated records of vaccines and parasitic tests. So please make sure to stay on top of these preventative services so your pet can safely socialize. 🤗

Senior pets tend to have behavioral changes as they age. While decrease in activity and increase in anxiety are common, sometimes there can be more to it. Yearly exams can determine whether blood work is necessary to check organ functions or detect early signs of disease.
