Happy 4th to everyone.
It is always a crazy day for us.
25 🐕 total in our house, 2 kids, all the heat and then making sure everyone was good and happy before fireworks💥 start. But tonight we had to add rain!!! ☔️

I don’t normally post about other businesses but I wanted to educate pet owners, when looking for boarding options.
*Anyone that boards a dog in their home for money has to be licensed with the state. Dept of Agriculture- Animal Welfare Division.
*Rover and Wag sites do not give sitters this info directly, so most of their sitters are running illegal businesses, according to NC laws.
*There are very few of us in-home sitters that abide by the laws. But each of us have our own rules and policies too. I have never met or seen these properties.
*Do your research, but I did some of it for you.

PSA: I say this all the time but here it is in print.
Please remember there are laws to protect you and your pets for a reason. We use Rover.com but it costs us more on upkeep and abiding to the laws than most people ever make on rover. Please read the terms of service before you sign up. The Dept of Agriculture can show up to your house anytime and fine you for running an illegal pet boarding business. If you take any money to board an animl in your home…you’re breaking the law without having a license.

ALL School systems and colleges have their spring breaks.
Don’t forget to book your dog’s vacation too.
We only charge for overnights.
$28/night for 1 dog
$21/night for each additional sibling.

Saturdays- 8am-8pm
Sundays- 8am-8pm

There still may be times we close that are not set in stone, due to our kid’s activities. But we will convey that to specific clients, when needed.

Customers- my time is just as valuable as yours. I rearrange my schedule when you need to drop off/pick up or are running late for a photo session. But these last two days have about pushed me over the edge.
One client has asked me to discount my rate for pics, changed her mind on decor rentals more than 5 times, took some yesterday for her event today, then changed her mind today when she saw the venue, now I have to take everything back home, and now has changed our start time 2x because hair and makeup is behind. I was only 5 mins away when she said they are still 20-30 mins behind schedule. I already drove fo WS. Her first question- Does our time start when you arrive or when we start taking pics?

MY ANSWER- yes time starts when I arrive. I could have been at home getting ready for my daughter’s birthday tomorrow.

I understand budgets but if you can’t afford to do something, please wait until you can. I’m a professional and a person that has arranged my last two days for 1 client. We are full this weekend but wanted to remind everyone that prices are changing a little tomorrow.

We got hit by a category 1 tornado on Tuesday. We will be cleaning up for a while but thanks to my husband and some great friends, we were able to repair our fence yesterday.
