UPDATE: ACE IS NOW IN A FOSTER HOME!

Here's a message from one of our new dogs:

Howdy! I’m Ace! I weigh 58 pounds and am around 2 years old. I was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. I’ve been boarding at a pet resort, patiently waiting for a foster family and a forever home!

I’m a sweet boy, and once I get over my shyness, I really love to give kisses and I’m a gentle boy. I know how to sit and pet resort staff are teaching me Stay and Down.

I really like other dogs but I admit, I like to be the dominant one. I haven’t been around kids or cats yet, so I’m not sure about them.

I’m a nosy boy! I like knowing what everyone is doing. I used to worry that someone was going to take my food so I growled at anyone coming near but now I’m much more trusting.

The great folks at TGRR are looking hard to find me a foster family so they can learn more about me – right now I’m a bit of a “mystery man.” Maybe you’d like to have me for a trial run in a foster-to- adopt placement? I hope so!

A very special trio of mixes! Ace, Ashe and Kira are searching for their forever homes.

Ace (picture with the fall leaves) - Ace is two years old and weighs 68 pounds. He is a lovebug once he gets to know you. He's smart and eager to learn. He knows Sit and is working on Come and Stay. He wants to be up in everyone's business and loves attention. Ace likes other dogs but is possessive of his food.

Ashe (picture with the fence) - Ashe is one and a half and weighs 51 pounds. Her foster mom says she's highly intelligent, loving and loyal. She is good on the leash and knows Sit, Stay, Shake and Come but she has a bad habit of jumping on people she meets. Ashe suffers from Separation Anxiety and takes medication for it but the medicine really has made a difference! She will be destructive if not crated when left alone. Ashe loves other dogs and wants badly to have a furry brother or sister. She is a pyr mix, and like other pyrs, she sees it as her job to protect her family by barking.

Kira (picture in the grass) - Kira is almost two and weighs 60 pounds. She tries so hard to be a lap dog! She craves attention and wants to be by your side. She loves toys and can entertain herself with them. Kira loads into the car well but does get car sick. She would prefer to be an only dog but she loves children!

Meet adorable golden retrievers looking for their forever homes and enjoy treats from "Mo Empanadas" and "Bear Dogs Bakery." Is there a doctor in the house??

We hope you are planning to join us for the Pup Splash this Sunday from 1-4 pm at Ridgewood Swim and Tennis Club in Greensboro. Dr. Matthew Borgmann of Adams Farm Animal Hospital, P.A. will be joining us in case any of the dogs have any scrapes or cuts and he will also have information on what to put in a first aid kit for your pets.

Dr. Borgmann will also bring his TGRR girl, Daisy, who has a dramatic life story, pictured here!

Important info for this Sunday's Pup Splash: All dogs must have proof of vaccination for both Rabies and Bordetella. Paper copies or records on your phone will be accepted. Please bring towels and water for your dog and a camp chair to sit in while you're there (seating is limited). Thanks!!!
