Meet Meowgaret Thatcher and Pawdrey Hepburn - our newest dolls that need a little extra love. The girls have Cerebellar Hypoplasia. (We’ll post more about that in coming days- but it’s the same diagnosis as what our clinic cat, Bob, has).
We are so incredibly grateful to the foster that had them at the shelter She built them this feeding station to help them keep their balance while they’re learning to eat on their own. This will be a game changer!

Meet Buttquack and Larry. They wanted to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have supported our wish lists. We have them posted on Amazon Walmart, and Tractor Supply. Everyone here that is able to eat a fresh food diet does so daily. Walmart gift cards are always a wonderful way to support the Rescue . Your selfless giving helps us keep our heads above water.
Does your cat or dog have “dirty” ears? Is it ear wax….or ear mites?
The ear mite, Otodectes cynotis, is a surface mite that lives on cats, dogs, rabbits, and ferrets. It is highly contagious and usually found in the ear canal. The life cycle of an ear mite takes about 3 weeks to develop from an egg to an adult and occurs on the host animal. Clinical signs of infestation include ear irritation, discharge, hair loss, and skin lesions.
Diagnosis involves observing the mite through an otoscope or microscopic examination. Treatment includes insecticidal products to kill the adult and larval forms. Ear mites may cause a temporary itchy rash in humans, but eradicating the mites from pets solves the problem.
If your dog or cat is digging and scratching their ears frequently, make an appointment today for us to take a look.

Make sure your kiddos are taken care of in the heat. Heat stroke is no joke!
