We are wishing all of the pet parents and their furry family members a very merry holiday season! We will re-open for regular business hours on Thursday, December 26th, 2024.

If you need emergency care while we're closed, we have listed the phone numbers for local ERs in Monroeville, Pittsburgh, Washington, and Cheat Lake, WV, below.

As an upcoming reminder for next week's holiday, we will be closing at 1pm on Tuesday, December 31st and closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

Important Reminder! We are moving to our new location this week.

If you've called to request a refill of a prescription medication for your pet, please pick that up before Thursday, December 12 @ noon. If not picked up, it will not be available until after 10:30 a.m. on December 16th.

If you call to request new medication fills on Thursday, those will not be processed until Monday, December 16th.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation with this as we make this transition. We're looking forward to seeing our clients at the new space located in Hempfield Square (6200 U.S. Route 30, Greensburg).

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness and show support for survivors.
According to The Purple Leash Project, only 19% of domestic violence shelters accept pets. We're highlighting the Purple Leash Project because they help to create more pet-friendly shelters. They work on-site to renovate shelters so they can welcome pets. Along with Purina team members, they use their time and energy to help break down barriers and help shelters become a safe place for survivors and their pets. Finally, our center director, Stacey!
Stacey has been at Hannastown as the Center Director since 2021. She became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2009 and worked in Emergency and Critical Care for 14 years prior to coming to general practice. Stacey loves building close relationships with our clients and their pets and delivering high quality care. She has 2 extra floofy cats, Smokey and Piccola and is kept busy outside of work by her two active daughters 🖤🐾

Next up is Hailee!
Hailee has been with Hannastown since 2021 and has been a CVT since 2022. She loves to continue to expand her knowledge, which is why you’ll most likely find her performing ultrasounds after learning in 2023. Hailee has two special orange boys at home, Chedda and Walter. Hailee has recently been exploring an interest in photography, which is a growing passion outside of the vet field. She also loves to spend time with her boyfriend and two cats all cuddled up on the couch. ❤️🐾

Next up is Dom!
Dom has been with Hannastown since 2020 and has been a CVT since 2018. She began her career in ER and has since moved to general practice. As our shift lead, Dom’s favorite thing is interacting and making special relationships with our clients. She also may or may not steal your chihuahua from you…🤫
She has two doggos at home. Ranger is a super mutt and Asiago is a chihuahua. When Dom isn’t working, she likes to spend time with her husband and two sons, read, and shop! 🩵🐾

Next up is Sarah!
Sarah has been with Hannastown since 2021 and has been a CVT since 2014. Sarah also passed an extensive application process and exam to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care in 2020. She began her career in large animal, moved to ER, and is now part time with us. She keeps her emergency skills fresh working part time at Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG). Her skills and knowledge are an invaluable asset to us as she teaches our CVTs daily on how to take the best possible care of your pets! Sarah loves being able to provide a voice for animals in need and to help them heal and recover. At home Sarah has three cats, Moo, Kiki, and Harley, and a bully mix named Sunflower! When Sarah isn’t working, she likes to read, crochet, travel, and spend time with her husband and son 💜🐾

Elisabeth has been with Hannastown since May of 2023, which is the same year she passed her boards to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. You’ll find her in surgery more often than not as that’s her favorite part of the field. She has a bearded dragon named Gliffery and a kitty named Charlotte, who’s her favorite little terror. When Elisabeth isn’t working, she likes to read, play video games, and hang out with her sisters. 💜🐾
