One of the NOLA Aussie pups is adopted! Here is a note and photo from the adoptive mom.
We adopted Abby (tri-color Australian Shepard) from you about 1.5 weeks ago. We absolutely love her. She is so easy and quiet. Everyone who meets her is just amazed at how well behaved she is and how cute she is. All the other dogs have adjusted and the only one really having a problem is the cat. Took her to the vet and she checked out fine. We have named her Domino. I've attached a picture of her and Alex. She just loves Alex - follows him everywhere which he is just tickled about. Thank you so much for providing your rescue service. Domino thanks you too.

NOLA folks, you can see us on Channel 4 news tomorrow night at 10pm with Angela Hill!

I posted a message in error earlier in a comment. Our current plan is to pull out of New Orleans Thursday afternoon/evening and drive non-stop overnight and be in Indiana on Friday early afternoon. The transport for WI and MN is Saturday am.
So everyone make their plans to meet us on Friday afternoon between 12noon and 1pm in Greensburg, IN at Blasdel Enterprises. 495 W McKee St. to pick up your critters!

WooHoo a husband and wife team is coming down to NOLA to join us. Kim and Dan! Dan had his CDL license and experience with large vehicles and driving in snow! Thanks so much to Ann Marie for making this happen! Now Mother Nature, Please be kind and let us get these kids home!!!!!!

Is anyone available to fly to New Orleans to help NOLA Oil Dogs bring back theses animals to IN? Due to the snow and weather conditions, they are in need of 2 more people- 1 to help drive the school bus of animals back, and 1 to help care for the animals during the drive. There is an offer to use airline miles for a free one way ticket to NOLA. If you're able to help, please contact Dawn asap at 765-969-3938.

01/09/2011

Unfortunately 2 of our helpers can not stay here in New Orleans until the weather clears, they have to return to Chicago so they are flying back tomorrow. Is there anyone who wants to (and can afford to) fly down here to New Orleans and help us drive back to Indiana? We need 1 driver (someone who can handle a large school bus on possibly snowy roads) and one person to help with animal care on the trip.

01/09/2011

Oh yes, Mother Nature is not cooperating and dumping a ton of snow and ice in our path. We are on hold for now until we can see a break in the weather that will allow us to get all these babies to Indiana safely.

01/08/2011

We have had to stop in Tuscaloosa to get some sleep. Too tired to continue on to New Orleans. We will be back in touch with everyone in about 5 hours for an ETA.

Olivia (Used Dogs)

Olivia's spunky temperament shines though in this video!! She really a wonderful dog. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about here. She's been with us for going on 2 years now, so I know her inside out!! She was originally rescued from the BWCooper Housing project demo site.
