An amazing read. I pretty much agree with this 100%. The common misconception and the constant humanization is failing our dogs and pet owners. The number of dog attacks and maulings has increased significantly each year.

Owners need to do more research. Owners need to educate themselves and adopt based off more than emotion. Shelters need to be euthanizing dogs with a bite history who pose a serious threat to other people, dogs, and children. Breeders need to Breed more carefully, look for reasons NOT to breed, and work on educating and supporting each other.
WE NEED A BETTER SYSTEM. We owe it to our dogs and our community.
