We got first in the Greenville Community Votes🥳🏆

We’re beyond thrilled to announce that we’ve taken home first place in all three categories we were nominated for! Being recognized as the top grooming salon and best place to shop for your pet is an incredible honor. A huge thank you goes to our amazing clients, whose unwavering support and generosity never go unnoticed. After winning first place last year, we were hopeful to continue holding this title—and thanks to all of you, we’ve done just that!

We are keeping a close eye on the weather over this next day and night to make sure we can stay as safe as possible tomorrow morning! If you want to go ahead reschedule for appointments on Wednesday, we will waive any cancellation fee due to the inclement weather and if it is not safe for us to open tomorrow, we will contact those appointments and reschedule as needed! ❄️

🎉🐾 2024 Year in Review at The Standard Dog 🐾🎉

We have been thinking of where we were at last year at this time and completely in awe and proud of our incredible team and client base for helping us achieve and exceed all of our prior goals! We have grown more over the past year than we ever thought possible due to your overwhelming care and support for our mission. As we wrap up another amazing year, we want to take a moment to reflect on all the milestones & memories we’ve shared with you and your furry friends! 🐶✨

Here are some highlights from 2024:

New Location 📍 - On October 1st we opened our new larger location to continue growing our grooming clientele and retail space! We officially held our ribbon cutting ceremony on November 12th to announce this to our community with the Pitt Country Chamber of Commerce and thank them kindly for all the support during this transition! The response to this new space has been so overwhelming, bringing in new clients from all over.

Online Store 📦 - We opened our online store starting in May and have grown our online presence quite a bit since then. We have been shipping orders locally and as far as Washington state, California, and New York. We have shipped to 6 states so far and have a goal to reach all 50!

Community Outreach 🎉 - From The DownEast Holiday Show to some local vendor events, we loved being part of the local community and seeing so many happy faces (both human and canine!). We have also taken advantage of several advertising opportunities like being featured on the ECU Football Schedule and in Greenville Living Magazine, as well as on JH Rose Football shirts and their school newspaper!

New Products 🛍️ - We introduced tons of new treats, toys, and accessories to keep your pups happy, healthy, and stylish. After attending the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, FL we brought in several new brands including Small Batch, Tuesday’s Natural Dog Company, Canophera, & The Foggy Dog. Retail has been growing fast with an ever growing section of items for your pet! We cannot wait to share all of our new products and plans with you soon!

New Team Members 👏🏻 - We started this year with about 10 employees and have since nearly doubled in size! We brought in dependable, talented, and driven team members that we are beyond grateful for! We are always on the lookout for exceptional people to add to our team.

Awards Won 🏆 - We won Gold for the category of "Best Pet Groomer" in the Daily Reflector Best of 2024 and received a plaque, all thanks to our wonderful clients support for us! We also received our awards for Greenville Best of the Best in Pet Shop, Pet Grooming, and Pet Food! We are nominated for all 3 categories yet again and voting is currently active with a link at the bottom of this post so please go vote for us!

To our loyal customers, thank you for making this year so special. 🐾 We’re so lucky to be part of your pets’ lives! We have big plans for 2025! As always our management team is busy behind the scenes working on the next big thing. Anyone that knows us knows we are always looking ahead to the future. Stay tuned as we look ahead to 2025, we can’t wait to bring even more joy to you and your dogs. Stay tuned for exciting new arrivals, special offers, and events in the new year!

As a part of the New Year, we are introducing each member of our team on their own individual post, but we were too excited about this announcement to wait until then! 😄

Introducing our new Grooming Salon Manager, Becky Fallaize! Becky's unwavering care for every dog and client we see, and true dedication to our mission of providing a new standard of care, has led her to be the best leader for our salon. With over 10 years of experience in the grooming industry, she provides such a fun-loving, passionate, and caring personality to our team, and we are incredibly grateful to have her✨

Becky loves all dogs but specializes in our senior pups. She is the proud mom of her three year old son, Adrian, and dog mom to Wesley, a twelve year old German Shepherd mix, and Kuna, an eight year old Labradoodle who she rescued from a neglect situation. Becky has previously worked in the Raleigh area and built a loyal clientele there. She feels very fortunate that her pups from Raleigh make the trip to see her here in Greenville and she has truly loved getting to know her new clients at The Standard Dog🎉

We are so thrilled to have Becky as a part of our management team and look forward to everything that is to come for us here at The Standard Dog🐾
