Next step….riding with a bridle! With a bit more balance and control she’ll move on in no time 😁

Our students have been stuck in the barn while our ring dries out! Today our students learned how to measure height of a horse AND proper stall cleaning 🤠
We’re ready to get our students back in the ring but we know ground lessons are just as important!

We love seeing dedication and try in our students! We are so happy to see Jessica take her first few steps cantering 100% on her own.

I’m so incredibly proud of our show team this year! It was a bit of a crazy show season with me having a baby in the middle of it and the girls having to get to know a new instructor, but they handled the season like champs! They each came so far this season and hit so many of their goals! I can’t wait to see what next year has in store for us!
The 2023 show season is coming to an end! Brody took some of our girls to their last PCHA schooling show of the year!
It was another awesome schooling show! He hauled a great group of girls that have worked hard with their lesson horses to prepare for the final show of the year. We had blue ribbons, everything in between ribbons and no ribbons. These girls make teaching a blast! This was a Small group…but we made big memories 😁.
2023 PCHA Gaming Show
We had a blast at our first PCHA Gaming show of the season! The girls and their horses worked so hard all night long!
I am so proud of each one these girls, they all had phenomenal rides and conquered so many of their goals they’ve been working so hard on!
Blakeley had her hands full with Sky in the beginning of the evening! He was ready to roll and was telling everyone all about it! She handled him like a champ and had some awesome runs throughout the night!
She has worked hard on being able to lean down on him to reach items on the barrels and she really showed her skills off! I loved watching Blakeley and Haleigh in the ribbon pair classes, their horses love each other so they really had an advantage!
Kayla kicked it into a whole other gear with T-bo last night! She was determined to complete every event she entered, even if that meant getting off of that big guy because she couldn’t reach the item! By the end of the night she was mounting him from the ground by herself! They ended up bringing home a 6th in youth basket weave and a 5th in youth down and back!
Maggie’s confidence is really coming out in the show ring, with the help of Trigger!
She pulled a 6th place in musical buckets out of a large group, which was so fun to watch! Kayla and Maggie decided to compete in the baby bottle race out of around 12 teams! They hopped on Trigger double and won 6th place!
Haleigh and Honey have come such a long ways in the past few years.
Haleigh handled Honey’s sassy attitude so well and pushed through to have some clean and fast runs! Haleigh has put a lot of work into Honey here lately and it continues to show! They brought home 1st place in youth Texas barrels, youth speed barrels, youth apple race, youth barrels, 4th place in youth poles and 2nd in youth phone book race.
Riley had really awesome rides on Little Man! I always love to watch their rides, they make such a great team! They pulled a 2nd in youth barrels, 3rd in youth poles, 3rd in down and back, 2nd in basket weave, and even pulled a 5th with Tanith in the ribbon race!
Luke even got to take Trigger into the youth barrel class with the help of Ms. Mona! He brought home the fastest boy prize!!
It ended up being a super late night, but it was so worth it seeing how happy these girls were!
Thank you Pamlico County Horseman's Association for putting these awesome shows together!
A huge thank you to all the parents and grandparents for supporting these girls and making these shows possible for them! We sure do have an awesome support system!

We had another amazing group of campers and helpers this week!!
Each camper improved tremendously in their riding and horsemanship, I’m so proud of every single one of them!

This group was so much fun to work with last week!
Each camper grew in their horsemanship skills, riding abilities and their confidence in themselves and with the horses!

I wouldn’t be able to do these camps without all of my awesome helpers!! I am so proud of how well they stepped up and helped, even in the horrid heat!
