Very sweet velcro dog - very affectionate, mix breed hound/whippet/sighthound, small side of medium, previous owner trained for puppy pads - taken to temporary foster by shelter worker that didn't want to see her put down. IN RISK OF BEING PUT DOWN THIS WEEKEND
Good with dogs and cats - cannot stay on with foster because their dogs are not accepting of her - looking for a permanent home with a loving family

The topic of relocating feral cats and even adding cats to an existing colony has been a hot topic the last week so here are some facts to consider.
1. Even if done with proper protocol, relocation can be ineffective and even dangerous for cats. Community cats bond to their outdoor homes and, if relocated, may try to find their way back. In some cases, cats have died in the process. Keep this firmly in mind before deciding that a cat’s life will be better somewhere else.
2. Relocation of community cats is an absolute last resort and should only be considered if a cat is in imminent danger.
3. The answer is almost always Trap-Neuter-Return and following best practices for community cat care.
