November's youth programs are here! Every month, HSWM hosts numerous events for children to gain learning experiences about animals and the humane society!

Here are this months programs:

Youth Workshop: Coping with the loss of a pet
Losing a pet can be difficult and is often the first time children experience grief. This workshop will include professional guidance, art therapy and peer discussion.
Ages: 9-15
⏰ November 16th 4:30-6pm
Cost: $10

Junior Volunteers Club Ages 7-11
You are never too young to start volunteering. This opportunity is for younger kids to come in and start learning the ins and outs of volunteering at HSWM. Tasks will include promoting adoptions, hanging out with shelter animals for socializing and enrichment activities, and basic organization tasks.
⏰ November 18th 12-2pm
Cost: $10

You are never too young to start volunteering. This opportunity is for older kids to come in and start learning the ins and outs of volunteering at HSWM. Each session will include work with animals in our care, organization tasks, and facilitating the Tales to Tails program.
⏰ November 18th 10-12pm
Cost: $10

Tales to Tails
Spend some time with a shelter animal and read them your favorite book or choose one from our shelves! You can choose a cat or a dog and sessions are 25 minutes long.
⏰ November 18th 10:30-11:00am
Ages: 5-15 with their parent/s or guardian/s
Cost: $10 per session (up to 4 people in the room total)

Camp Caturday: New Cat, Who Dis?
This session will provide campers with the knowledge to care for a new feline family member! How to change a litter box, feeding, grooming and acclimating to a new environment will be among the topics.
⏰ November 25th 10-12pm
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $10

Pup Club: Holiday Hounds
A special holiday session focused on dogs and the holidays! We will discuss any dangers or anxieties your dog may face during the holidays and we will make holiday items for shelter dogs and for campers to take home to their own holiday hounds!
⏰ November 25th 12:30-2:30pm
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $10
