Day 22 of Gratitude (from Amanda)

As the week comes to an end, I just want to say how thankful I am for my team. There’s always been a running joke amongst veterinary practice managers that appreciation days and weeks like “Boss’s Day” and “Veterinary Practice Manager Week” don’t get celebrated because as practice managers, we are usually the ones orchestrating the celebrations.

On more than one occasion, I’ve planned things for the team and forgot to count myself…my team headcount is always one person short. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ They always make it a point to lovingly scream at me for it and include me anyway.

This week, my team got together and planned things for me! 😭🥹🥰 They surprised me with so many yummy goodies, a giant stuffed balloon dog (check out our podcast F***s and Laughter 😉), my favorite cookies, and a hot chocolate bar with not one, but TWO pots of homemade hot chocolate.

To my amazing team here at Animal Care of Greenville - I am so, so thankful for each and every one of you. I don’t know that I could ever thank y’all enough. You all sure know how to make a girl feel appreciated. 🥰🩵

Day 21 of Gratitude!

Yesterday - and EVERYDAY - we’re thankful for life-saving preventatives like Simparica Trio and Revolution Plus! 🐾💊 These amazing products protect our pets from fleas, ticks, and heartworm disease—keeping them happy, healthy, and free to enjoy life.

Heartworm disease, in particular, can be dangerous and costly to treat, but preventatives make it completely avoidable. Add in protection from fleas and ticks, and these products are true game-changers for our pets’ health! 💙

Today, (to keep veterinary practice manager week going) we are showing thanks to our amazing practice manager, Amanda! Not only is she our practice manager, but she works front desk, works in the back as a tech, is a trainer, and friend/mom to all of us (and she kicks butt at all of it!) She is the person that is always 100% in the morning, motivating everyone throughout their day. Amanda is the person who every single one of us goes to when we have any issue or problem. She is just an amazing person, inside and out. We are so thankful for you and everything you do!

✨ Happy Practice Manager Week! Let’s celebrate Amanda!! ✨

In every corner of the veterinary hospital, there's a buzz of energy and positivity. It's not just the sound of busy paws and wagging tails — it's the laughter and motivation sparked by one person in particular: Amanda Edwards, our practice manager. If there was ever a person who truly embodied the spirit of our team, it’s Amanda.

She’s the glue that holds everything together, from running the day-to-day operations to lifting everyone’s spirits with a simple smile. But it’s not just her smile that makes Amanda stand out; it’s the unique, vibrant energy she brings to the office every single day. Whether it’s her upbeat attitude, her creative ideas, or the infectious way she inspires the team, Amanda has a special way of turning any ordinary day into something extraordinary.

One of the most memorable things Amanda has done is roller skate around the office. Yes, you read that right — roller skate! She’ll glide past the front desk, her colorful wheels spinning with joy, greeting everyone with a big wave and a cheerful “You got this!” (Even as she almost falls 😂) No matter how chaotic the day gets, Amanda's roller skating routine is a reminder that, even in the busiest moments, a little fun and laughter can make all the difference. It’s impossible to stay stressed when Amanda’s whizzing by with a grin from ear to ear.

But Amanda doesn’t stop at roller skating. She’s always brainstorming new, innovative ways to help both her team and our clients. Take her idea for a podcast, for example — a fun and educational venture where we breaks down the complexities of veterinary care, health tips for pets, and heartwarming client stories. The podcast is anything but ordinary. Amanda has a way of making topics like vaccinations or flea control sound fun and engaging. Her ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand (and often hilarious) segments has turned the podcast into a fan favorite.

But beyond the professional skills and creative genius, it's Amanda’s positivity that truly shines. She’s the kind of person who sees the silver lining in every situation. When things go wrong, she’s there with a kind word and a solution. When the team feels overwhelmed, she’s quick with a pep talk or a spontaneous dance break in the breakroom. Her unwavering optimism is contagious, and it’s impossible not to feel inspired by her energy.
Amanda also has a gift for recognizing the little victories. Today, we’re thankful for…fresh stool samples! 💩🐾 While it might not be the most glamorous part of veterinary care, f***l testing is one of the most important ways we keep your pets (and your family!) healthy. 🧪

Routine f***l tests help us detect parasites that could be hiding without any symptoms. Early detection means we can treat issues before they cause serious problems for your furry friend—or pose risks to others. So, next time you’re at the clinic, don’t forget that fresh sample!
