⭐️Season of Giving Foster Spotlight: Gilly ⭐️

Introducing Gilly!

This Happy Gilmore girl was found on a local Golf Course we are working with to adopt out kittens born on their property but they believe Miss.Gilly was just dropped off one day and became friends with the other kitty’s.

She honestly thinks she is a dog and will lick you SO much! Only around 5 months old and full of adorable kitten antics to keep you entertained all day! She gets along great with other cats and we believe with slow introduction she’d be best friends with a dog as well.

Seriously just your all around perfect tortie girl looking for her forever home!

⭐️Season of Giving Foster Spotlight: Opal ⭐️

Opal arrived to the shelter very pregnant and gave birth shortly after. It was a very stressful time for her but luckily a wonderful Pitt Friends foster was able to take her home and give her a soft place to land. She was such a wonderful mama to her puppies! They have all been adopted and she is ready to find a home of her own now! Her foster mom says she is an absolute couch hippo. She is also completely potty trained and walks well on a leash. She loves all humans, even the littles. She has complete patience with them. All she wants in life is a couch to snuggle on, a lap to lay her head on for scritches, and walkies when it isn’t raining!

⭐️ Season of Giving Foster Spotlight: KENOS⭐️

He’s so brave, he’s well behaved, he is not afraid🎶
This is pretty much Kenos theme song lol but all joke aside this guy has gotten so brave and come out of his shell so much in foster. When we first went and pulled Keno he was terrified of us and hid the whole time. An already small guy made himself even smaller, but we could tell there was something special about he just needed time to trust again. Keno never showed us any aggression he truly just wanted to hide and only found comfort in other dogs.
With time, love and two amazing foster homes Keno is really coming out of his shell. He does still take time to not be shy but once he warms up he is as goofy and snuggly as can be. He happily comes up to his people for pets and kisses now and loves nothing more than playing with other dogs and throwing around toys.
Keno would do best in a home with other dogs as he absolutely loves his canine friends. His adopter will need to understand that earning his trust will take time but the love Keno has to offer is so worth it!
In foster Keno is house trained, crate trained, and has great house manners. He is about 2 years old and is fairly small at 46 pounds and standing below knee level.
Keno has tested positive for heartworms. HSEC gives heartworm positive dogs a course of antibiotics and steroids. They then receive monthly heartworm prevention, as any dog should. This December we’re holding a donation drive to support three local non-profit organizations. We want to fill our lobby with supplies to help foster dogs and cats in their care!

Be an angel for homeless pets in Pitt County This holiday season! We ask that all donations are dropped off by Friday, December 20 so the Top Dog elves can deliver in time for Christmas.🎄
