We adopt animals from the kill list at other local shelters and strays we find wandering the streets of our community. It is our mission to provide a safe haven for our community’s abused and abandoned cats and dogs, with the goal of rehabilitation and adoption into permanent loving homes. As a NO-KILL rescue, all animals brought into the shelter remain under the stewardship of Pet Haven of South

Carolina, until they are adopted. We will only consider euthanasia when recommended by a veterinarian to relieve an animal’s suffering due to irreversible injury, illness or disease. We place approximately 185 animals per year. We encourage and promote spaying and neutering as the only effective approach to reducing the pet overpopulation problem. In compliance with state law and as a matter of principal, we spay and neuter all pets prior to adoption. Pet Haven of South Carolina provides lost and found services and educates the public on the proper care of animals through printed materials and educational activities. We pursue all reports of abuse, neglect or cruelty and cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of such cases. We support the efforts of South Carolina’s Law Enforcement agencies, Animal Control departments and Humane Society Chapters to provide fair treatment and care for all domestic animals in the State of South Carolina. SC Pet Haven Rescue is looking for volunteers to help us trap, spay/neuter release and maintain some feral cat colonies in Greenville, SC. If trapping is not something you can do, we also need someone who can feed them. One is behind the cementary on Pleasantburg, across from Red Lobster, White Oak Trailer Park. One is in Moonville, at the Ingles, they are living under the sheds to the left of the parking lot. The last one is at the Comfort Inn on Mauldin Road. We need help setting the traps, watching the traps and transporting to and from or one way to get fixed. We will provide gas money with reciepts and wages if needed. Please call me at 864-350-3735.

This is Mary Claire! She is about 2-3 months old. She was found dragging her front right leg. We are not sure yet what the extent of her injury is. She is currently at the vet getting x-rays and being checked out. We are thinking it will need to be amputated but praying thats not the case. We are currently taking donations for her care. This is Smokee boy, he is approximately 1 years old. I say he’s like a sour patch kid. First he’s sour then he’s sweet. Once he’s comfortable he loves to lay on your lap and make biscuits. He also loves when you fill up his water and it makes those little bubbly noises.
