Mom/Daughter Fowl

Mom/Daughter Fowl We provide a variety of colorful egg laying breeds of chicken, guinea, and duck. We strive for healthy happy flocks for all of our costumers.

Welcome to Mom/Daughter Fowl and our mother/daughter hobby. Both my mother (Melanie) and I (Cheyenne) strive for a hardy, beautiful, calm flock. We began our chicken addiction together in 2010 and began providing our birds to the general public in 2014. We service only our local bird enthusiast in and around Greenville TX and do not ship our birds or eggs. Our love for our birds has grown tremendo

usly over the years and we absolutely love seeing that same love in our bird customers. We provide Chicken, Guinea, and Duck hatching eggs. We also hatch and sell our chicks, keets, and ducklings. Our breeds include:
Pure Bred Chickens: BBS Double Laced Barnvelder (DLB), Black Copper Maran (M), and BBS Ameraucana (AM); Project Breeds: Easter Eggers (EE), Olive Egger (OE), and Maran/Barnvelder (M/B) cross. Guinea Fowl: Brown, Lavender, Pied, and Dun. Duck: Caygua, White Crested Pekin, Ancona, Black Swedish. Our agreement: Because we only sell as straight run we do agree to the following. If you get more Roos then you want from the chicks that were purchased from us we will replace every roo that is returned to us in good health with two chicks. This will allow every one to get a chance in getting more hens. (Will only be applied to our mix breeds, not our pure breeds). Thank y'all for your support, we look forward to the future of meeting and helping others that are looking for a happy healthy flock!

We finished our kidding season off with two 6+lbs bucks out of BonBon, DOB:3/24/25. If your interested in bottling a buck for your program or if you would like one at weaning in 6-8wks let us know. Use them as new blood or feeders, they will both be neutered at 6wks old unless otherwise discussed. Dam Cinnabon is milking bred, Alpine mix maybe 🤔 and Sire Valentino is Boar/Lamachana mix. Photos of Val and BonBon included. Val is really feeling needy now that the babies have come, jealous much 🤣. Greenville TX, PM our page for response!

Photo dump! Birthing photos ⚠️. Tita delivered a single 8.9lb doeling yesterday morning 3/22/25 and to my surprise when I arrived to take pictures of our new arrival our sweet Nutmeg who broke her leg last year as a baby was in active labor 🥰😍 perfect timing. She also delivered a single 7lb doeling ❤️. Tita photos first then Nutmegs.

Ugh 😫 the owl is back for the year and of course I loss one of my 2024 Splash Ameraucana hens that just started laying 2wks ago 😫😫. Letting the dogs finish her off so she doesn't go to complete waste but that was a costly loss 😔.

I am so excited, my Pink Brandywine tomato plants are growing great. Still waiting on my jalapenos to come up trying to stay hopeful as those seeds came from my five year old jalapeno plant and I would really like to have a replacement just in case something happens to it. If anybody needs house ivy I have several of them started in soil already that came off a 12-year-old plant ❤️. My strawberry plants are doing great too although I'm not really interested in letting any of those go 😅. Just started heirloom watermelon, crimson sweet watermelon, hopi watermelon, miscellaneous melon, okra, pickling cucumbers, eating cucumber, and Yellow Tomatoes 😳. PS I don't actually have a garden for any of this 🤦🤔.

Some one please come tell my 2024 Splash AM hen that she shouldn't be c**k fighting with her mate our 2024 Black AM rooster 🤦🤦. My view from my kitchen window each morning 😂😂.

When your trying to go through your older Maran girls to place the ones not laying to your standard and all your getting are these beautiful dark eggs 🤣🤦. Pictures just don't do them justice. 5-6 on the Maran egg chart and I am honestly ok with that 🥰.

Any one going to be interested in tomato or jalapeno plants this year? Should be ready to go in the ground by April.

We have a Cayuga hen showing out finally ❤️. Please note that we have both pure breed Cayuga flock and a mix breed flock that will include Cayuga. Our mix breeds most definitely out produce our pure breeds but our ducks in general produce just as well if not better then our chickens on any given year. The eggs are exlarge and excellent for baking.

Lamborghini the foster lamb has bounced her way in to her new home 🏡. Hopefully I won't be asked to save any more lambs 😅🤦. Don't tell me she didn't know her name when she left my house 🤣.

Property update, so far we have not taken any more damage thankfully. The tin was removed from two pens yesterday and by this morning all birds had made their way back in to their pens thankfully. We have secured wire fencing on top of those pens as temporary roof to help prevent predators from taking the birds and to keep them in their areas, how ever the wind is just to high to be able to put the tin back on the roofs at this time so we will have to wait for a better day to do permanent repairs. Our incubators went a complete 24 hours without power so the expected hatch of Ameraucana, Maran/Barnevelder cross, and Maran may be delayed by a day or a complete wash. Only time will tell. (Photo for tax of another 2024 Maran girl and her egg).
