Kiss for Kittens is dedicated to caring for and placing homeless cats and kittens. We are a small group of volunteers and foster homes. We specialize in Manx, Bobtail, and other tailless cat breeds. We understand the special personality and needs of these breeds. We pull from high kill shelters, take in strays, and if we have room owner surrenders. We do everything we can to place the cats into lo
ving homes after they have had all their shots and have been spayed/neutered. The more we place into loving homes means the more we are able to save. We also transport our cats if we have found a loving home for them in other states. We have updated our mailing address:

FOSTER NEEDED
Bebe is a 12-year-old female bobtail with green eyes. She has lived in a single parent home for her entire life. Bebe is very shy and loves to look out the window at birds. Since her owner has been placed in a memory care facility, she is very sad and scared. Bebe would do well in a home without other animals and someone who is patient and caring to give her the space to gain trust in a new environment.
Bebe is currently alone in her house in TN, but her advocate is in Asheville and will transport.
KeeKee did well at the vet. She’s now spayed, microchipped and she tested negative for FIV, Felv, and heartworms. And she’s available for adoption.
We did get her age wrong at the vet, they have her as a year and 8 months on her paperwork, but we know she’s still just a teenager. :-)

Simba’s owner died and now he desperately needs a new home.
Overall health: Good, but could lose some weight. (His owner had dementia and would forget she’d already fed him)

Behavioral details: I'm a dog person, & can't stand cats. That said, I actually don't mind Simba...b/c he has several dog-like qualities. He wants to be near you & follows you around everywhere. He also rubs on you for attention...when he wants attention. & while he's not a "lap cat", he will sit w/you and nudge your hand like a dog if he wants more attention. The one thing that I think may be misconstrued is that he will lightly nip at you if you ignore his nudges, but there is no pressure in the nip (it's just to get you to pay attention to him). He will also sleep with you, if you let him.
Interactions w/other animals: He would do best in a home w/other cats, or an owner/family that will give him the attention he needs. I give him as much attention as I'm comfortable with, but it's not enough now that he's a solo cat. He's been visibly less active & seemingly bored/depressed. He's been around other cats his whole life until my aunt's passing. The place he was adopted from housed all their cats in a big, open pen w/open cubbies instead of cages, & my aunt already had her other cat before he was adopted. I do not know how he would do w/dogs b/c he's never been around them to my knowledge, but I'd imagine he'd be fine depending on the temperment of the dog.

Meet Callie!
Callie is a sweet 10 week old bobtail mix with a tortoiseshell coat. She and her two brothers were dumped at a stranger's house. Luckily, the stranger took them in and got them proper care before starting to find homes for them. Her brothers have been adopted already, so little Callie is left searching for a home. She is looking for a home that already has a male kitten that she can run, jump, and play with. Or, we can help you find another male kitten as her companion. She is as sweet as can be and would be a great addition to a home with kids.
Our policy is only to adopt bonded kittens together. This bond will help the kittens adjust to their new home because they have the comfort and friendship of each other. Even if there are other pets in the home, this bond will continue. While single kittens that are not bonded with another kitten from their litter or foster home may be adopted, there must also be another cat in the new home under the age of two. Adopting two kittens is always recommended because a kitten left alone during the day can become lonely and bored, which sometimes can lead to mischief.

We had one of our Manx mix cats come back to us after the owner became extremely ill. Cassie was scared when she came back, not being sure what was going on.
