Top Holiday Pet Safety Tips:
🎁 Skip the Snacks: Holiday foods like turkey bones, gravy, chocolate, raisins, macadamia nuts, and onion-heavy dishes can be toxic to pets. Even small amounts can lead to upset stomachs, blockages, or worse. Stick to pet-safe treats!
🎄 Decor Dangers: Keep fragile ornaments, tinsel, ribbons, and electrical cords out of reach—these can be choking hazards or cause intestinal blockages if ingested. Consider flameless candles to avoid burns or fire risks.
🐾 Stress-Free Spaces: The hustle and bustle of holiday gatherings can overwhelm pets. Create a calm retreat with their favorite blanket, bed, and toys where they can relax away from noise and guests.
🚮 Trash Patrol: Secure trash bins and keep food scraps, bones, and packaging materials out of reach. Even seemingly harmless items like food-soaked aluminum foil can cause problems if ingested.
🎁 Holiday Plants: Be cautious with holiday plants like poinsettias, mistletoe, and holly, which can be toxic to pets if chewed or eaten. Opt for pet-safe greenery or artificial options.
