Help us find this sweet boys home!

Ashley, one of the receptionists here at AAH, found this boy roaming her neighborhood last night. He was brought in to be scanned for a microchip but unfortunately does not have one. He is a German Shepherd Mix, estimated about 1-2 years old. He is unaltered. He knows how to sit, loves to play ball, and gets excited around a collar and leash. He seems to be well loved and cared for by someone.

He was found near the Denean Mill area in Greenville, SC and has been roaming for the past 2-3 days. If this baby looks familiar please give our clinic a call. Let’s get him home! Or if anyone is willing to foster him until we find his home, please contact us.

🐾🐾Duke is looking for a home!!!🐾🐾

This SWEET healthy boy needs a home. He is estimated to be a little less than a year old and a possible cattle dog mix. Duke would best in an active, young home setting! He is a working dog! No young children. Due to his strong herding instincts and unknown background, Duke will need some training and someone who is willing to work with him so that he can be the best boy! He will be getting neutered next week.

Whether or not you are planning on celebrating for the 4th of July, it is important to take precautions before, during, and after the holiday festivities. Here are a few tips for keeping your pets safe and happy during the celebrations.❤️🤍💙

1. Ensure your pet is microchipped and has an up to date ID tag!! Believe it or not, July 4th brings the biggest influx of animals. Many of whom get spooked by the loud noises of fireworks causing them to run. A microchip and ID insures a quick and safe reunion if that were to be the case.

2. Consider putting your pets in a safe, escape-proof room or crate during parties and fireworks.

3. Contact your vet if your pet has a history of anxiety during this holiday. Some pets may need medication to ease their nerves during fireworks and excitement. If this is the case - contact your vet NOW so they can ensure enough time to prepare those medications.

4. Avoid the urge to feed table scraps or other foods intended for people. While tempting, any sudden change to your pets diet can cause an upset stomach.

5. Remember that too much sun and heat can be dangerous to pets. Keep them inside in a cool room or make sure they have access to shady spots and plenty of water! (Refer to our previous post on warm weather safety)
