Happy #FosterFriday!! Today’s foster feature looks a little different for us - instead of sharing a pet already in a foster home, we wanted to share a sweet little kitty currently IN NEED of a Foster Home to call her own!
At our shelter, we foster kittens that are too young for adoption or have minor health issues like kitten colds. Last month alone, we sent over 150 kittens to loving foster homes! Fostering is crucial because we cannot house these fragile babies at the shelter. Don’t worry—we provide everything you need, from food to litter! Right now, Biscuit needs a foster home for 10 days! She’s 5 weeks old, has a mild upper respiratory infection, and is too young to stay here. She’s absolutely adorable and would love a cozy spot to recover! 😻 Can you help?

Our sick hold room is full, and Promise needs a foster home until after the weekend. She has a doggie cold and needs to be separated from other pets during treatment. We provide everything you need: crate, food, leash, and collar.
Promise is a gentle, curious dog who greets you with quiet affection. Though shy at first, she quickly warms up to playtime, especially with her favorite squeaky toy and tennis ball. This is a great holiday weekend opportunity to help a sweet pup!

🚨 Foster Needed 🚨 Meet Indigo… and her 6 puppies: Purple, Grape, Mulberry, Plum, Mauve & Violet! Unfortunately, a crowded shelter is no place for a new mom & such young pups. They need a little extra space, attention & love to let mama heal and the puppies grow big & strong!
Right now Indigo’s puppies are only 3 weeks old – which means we are in need of either an experienced foster OR rescue to give this sweet mama & her 6 puppies a safe home for a few weeks where they can thrive until they are big enough to come back to the shelter to be adopted & find their forever homes!!

We're overjoyed to share that our community stepped up in a big way! 🎉 Since our post yesterday, 34 dogs and 13 cats have found homes, thanks to new adopters, fosters, and owners reclaiming their pets. 🐾 A massive thank you to everyone who networked with our rescue partners to transport dogs to their facilities and foster homes. 🚚🐶 Special thanks to Greenville Humane Society, Sick As A Dog, Day Before the Rainbow, Gracie’s Acres, Labor of Love, Lighthouse Animal Shelter, and Desperate Tails for their incredible support. 🙌 We couldn't have done this without you, and we're proud of what we've accomplished together! ❤️

This Easter was an extra special one for Greenville County Animal Care, thanks to an incredible donation from The Riley Faith Foundation!!
Riley Faith Steep tragically passed away last year after a 2 year fight with cancer. She had a huge love for animals. Her family is making sure her memory lives on through her mission to help others - even shelter pets!!
They generously donated a TON of Easter toys specially for all of the dogs currently in our care here at the shelter. With a little help from the Easter Bunny & some of his helpers - staff & volunteers helped to deliver these sweet gifts to make an EGG-cellent Easter for all of our pups!
