Happy first day of Summer! 🌞 Here’s your reminder to do your horse a favor and have them clipped. It’s HOT 🥵 🔥😁
How sweet it is to be loved 🥰 Every horse deserves to feel this admired! Le Grande, you’re one good dude! 🤍
*No meds on board, just relaxed and very content 😊
We are back in action with a big to-do list after a nice vacation 🏝️ Please let me know if you have any remaining clip requests for the upcoming week.
“Guns” in action after his first clip. I absolutely love getting pictures from clients of “my” horses doing their respective jobs. It still blows my mind they willingly do the wide variety of things we ask them to do!! This young horse had a full winter coat still hanging on and needed some relief. 💛🤠🐂
Feel free to tag us in your photos- we love to see them!!
🪄✨💅🏼 Unreal!!!
It’s for their welfare! Clipping isn’t just about top turnout, it’s about their well being. Riders go to great lengths to ensure their horse has the best saddle, farrier, vet, body worker, supplements, etc, but do you overlook clipping when they need it? I’m seeing a lot of horses that haven’t fully shed out yet, or at all- both young and old. Many vet-recommended clips, and plenty of clips for the show horses. We clip all year round for a reason! Not sure if your horse needs clipped, just ask! Owners are always shocked at how much hair comes off in the Summer months!
Photo of my favorite old man and his fresh clip for summer 🩵✂️🤠
✂️ Sunday haircuts, but make it fun 😝 I’m good at leaving NO lines, just not good at scissor lines 😅
The most handsome grey guys 🤍💈✂️ We will be unavailable the first week of June, so please reach out to me as soon as possible if you’re planning to clip for an upcoming show or have an oldie that hasn’t shed out yet ☀️
😮💨😮💨😮💨 Welcome to the dapple show! Have I mentioned how much I love spring clips? 😍
You couldn’t see the dapples under that hair, but you can sure see them now that it’s gone 😍 The reactions I get from people seeing how much hair is on the ground from clipping a summer coat is just the best! You don’t know what you’ve got ‘till it’s gone 😎
A super day filled with fancy horses, awesome friends, and all the puddles a little boy could dream of. It was so, so great to see everyone today🩷 Congratulations on all of your successes 🥳
Ready for the heat next week 🔥
Super show for my Break-Away Farm crew! It’s fun to see “my” horses win 🥇
Fresh off the plane from Germany 🇩🇪 and ready to be Grand in his new role ✨ 5 stars for being a good boy, Grandioso. I always appreciate that 😀
Looking back at the last 7+ years with so much gratitude. The growth we’ve had and the support we’ve received from our horse community is unbelievable 🤯 So many of you have been with us from the start and your continued loyalty means the world to us! 🥰 We take so much pride in what we do and we hope you always feel that! A dozen + left on our schedule for this month to wrap up the busiest April ever! We love y’all! Thank you for your support! Here’s to the next 7 years 🥳
Dapple season 🤌🏼💈
I normally start with the “after”, but I think this “before” deserves to go first. What a massive difference for this sweet ‘ole girl. Kerin will feel so, so much better when we hit the 80’s this weekend!
To clip, or not to clip? What a silly question!
Two different horses & two gorgeous sets of dapples hidden under that hair! I absolutely love spring clips 🤩
This time of year always brings the same questions: Is it too late to clip? Will it ruin their summer coat?
Here is my answer: Take a look through the photos from the clips over the last 2 weeks! We clip all year long with beautiful shine almost every time.
A quality, shiny coat comes from two main things: first and foremost, a balanced and nutritious diet (quality hay/grain/grass), and secondly, regular grooming with lots of currying and brushing. If your old guys are slow to shed, or you’re headed back into the show ring, give us a call 📱 We’d love to help your equine friend look and feel their best 🦄
I can always count on Kristin to do right by all of the horses under her guidance and trust even the youngest of babies to be well mannered for their first clip. A positive first clipping experience is so important! If you ever need help with laying a proper foundation, starting a horse, or help problem solving with your horse, give Kristin a call! She is so gifted in her work to solve the puzzles that horses always throw our way!
The “overgrown pony” cuteness factor is 💯❗️
We have exciting news to share soon 🗞️ Stay tuned!
You know that amazing feeling when you take your winter coat off and soak in the warm sun & vitamin D on your skin in early Spring? That’s what I imagine these guys felt like this weekend 😎 What a relief to have that hair off!
Are you kidding me, Fancy? 🎀💅🏼
Important info for this time of year!
Big and small, we clip them all! Thanks for a great day, 🙏🏼
I love a good spring makeover 💅🏼🤩🤠 Every girl deserves a good spa day 🧖♀️
An action-packed weekend at Top Call Farm! A special shoutout to Sarah Sadie Cherney for her help in coordinating 16 horses to be prepared properly and on time! The people behind the scenes don’t get near enough credit for all they do! Thank you, Sarah!
Hi y’all! We took a nice hiatus from Facebook this month (highly recommend it!) but we’ve still been busy clipping away! Thank you for the referrals and patience with delayed responses while we’ve been off the grid. We’ve got a stacked month ahead, so please reach out if you’re not on my schedule already!
Our sweet Brogan absolutely loves the horses 🥰
Last call for February clip dates! I have just one date remaining for large groups (2/18). I also have several weekends already booked for March, so please don’t wait until the last minute! So grateful to all of you that have planned ahead 👏🏼 🤓📆
The wooly ones bring a whole new level of satisfaction 💯🤍

FINALLY! A very long overdue BATHING 🧼 Tutorial! A clean horse is paramount for a great clip, but sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know. To help, we’ve created a video to walk you through how to properly prepare your horse for a body clip! 🛁 Chloe shows us her “Hands On” gloves 🧤 and some Palmolive soap are the two things she uses to bathe. She focuses on bathing just one side at a time and puts a LOT of elbow grease into all of the important areas: the croup, knees, hocks, etc. After a really good scrub, rinse very thoroughly to ensure the water runs clear and no soap suds or dirt remain. 🧺 Next ups is to allow the horse to dry completely without rolling. Sweat scrape, towel dry, heaters/fans, and hand grazing should be done until the horse is dry enough to return to their clean stall while they wait for their clip. ✂️ Time to clip! Medicate if needed and we will take it from there!! Special thank you to Chloe Roth for her PHENOMENAL bathing and sharing her wisdom with us today!
And because 2 is always better than 1, we decided to draw a second winner for $25 off! That winner is… Emily Thomas 🥳
Thanks to everyone who participated! Here is the winner of our $50 gift card! As busy season starts to ramp up, will be doing some more of these drawings, so stay tuned for more! Tori Bentley 🥳
It’s going to be in the 80’s on Thursday! Hallelujah!! 🎉 It’s time to get all of that extra hair off and go for a ride! Give us a call today to schedule! 864-313-5351 🐎❣️🤠
A barn full of fat, happy, healthy, freshly clipped horses 🐴 So much time and effort goes into the meticulous care of these beautiful animals! I commend all of barn owners and operators for all they do day-in and day-out and I take great pride in being just 1% of it!
Started off the New Year right with a barn full of clean horses! Thank you, as always Jodi Lees Dressage! I hope everyone’s year is as bright and shiny as every one of these horses 🐴
