As we wind down and reflect on 2024, I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful, but more than anything, I feel humbled. The loyalty to us and our business year in and year out is impressive! Many of you going on nearly a decade 🤯. The quality of the equine athletes I get to work with 🦄 and their sweet, gentle spirit (and some a little more spicy 🤪) are among my favorite things. When we started this, we never dreamed that it would become everything that it has, but we love each and every one of you more than you know. The kind words that so many of you go out of your way to share with me, is so heartwarming.

2024 was a bigger year than ever before and I’m truly honored you choose Metz Equine to be your body clipper, and friend🤍

FINALLY! A very long overdue BATHING 🧼 Tutorial! A clean horse is paramount for a great clip, but sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know. To help, we’ve created a video to walk you through how to properly prepare your horse for a body clip! 🛁 Chloe shows us her “Hands On” gloves 🧤 and some Palmolive soap are the two things she uses to bathe. She focuses on bathing just one side at a time and puts a LOT of elbow grease into all of the important areas: the croup, knees, hocks, etc. After a really good scrub, rinse very thoroughly to ensure the water runs clear and no soap suds or dirt remain. 🧺 Next ups is to allow the horse to dry completely without rolling. Sweat scrape, towel dry, heaters/fans, and hand grazing should be done until the horse is dry enough to return to their clean stall while they wait for their clip. ✂️ Time to clip!
