💙🐾 National FIP Awareness, Research, and Education Day 🐾💙

Today, we recognize the fight against Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a viral disease that affects cats and has historically been difficult to treat. On this important day, we celebrate the progress being made in research and the growing awareness of FIP. Thanks to the dedication of veterinary professionals and researchers, there’s hope on the horizon with new treatments that are changing the lives of cats diagnosed with this disease. 🌟

What is FIP? FIP is caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus, which can affect the organs and immune system, leading to serious health concerns. While it was once considered a fatal diagnosis, advancements in treatment are providing new options and bringing hope to both pet owners and veterinarians.

Signs to Watch For:

Fever that doesn’t respond to antibiotics
Loss of appetite or weight
Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
Lethargy

💉 Research and Education are key in raising awareness and continuing to develop effective treatments for FIP. Let’s spread the word, support FIP research, and advocate for our feline friends who deserve a brighter future. ✨

📅 Canine Lymphoma Awareness Day 🐾💙

Today, we’re spreading awareness about Canine Lymphoma, a common cancer that affects our beloved dogs. Lymphoma is a type of cancer that originates in the lymph nodes and can spread throughout the body. While it can be scary, early detection and treatment can make a significant difference in a dog's quality of life.

🔍 Signs to Watch For:

Enlarged lymph nodes
Decreased appetite
Lethargy or fatigue
Unexplained weight loss
Increased thirst or urination

🏥 If you notice any of these signs, it's essential to consult your veterinarian. With advancements in veterinary medicine, there are various treatment options available that can help manage the disease and provide comfort.

❤️ Let’s work together to give our pets the best chance at a healthy, happy life.

🎃🐾 Happy Halloween to all of our clients and their furry friends! 🐾👻

We hope you and your pets enjoy a spook-tacular day filled with fun! To help keep your pets safe and happy during the festivities, here are a few Halloween safety tips:

🧁 Keep candy out of reach – Chocolate and candy with xylitol are toxic to pets, so make sure your sweet treats stay safely out of paws' reach.

🎃 Choose pet-friendly costumes – If you’re dressing up your pet, make sure their costume is comfortable and doesn’t restrict movement, breathing, or vision.

🚪 Watch the door – With trick-or-treaters coming and going, keep your pets secure so they don’t slip outside unexpectedly.

🔦 Be visible – If you’re out for a walk after dark, use reflective gear or lights to make sure your pet is seen and safe.

We’d love to see your pets in their Halloween costumes! Share a photo in the comments below. 🎃🐕🐈📸

Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween! 👻🐾

It’s Pet Obesity Awareness Day! 🐾⚖️

Let's face it, we all love a good chonky pet—those squishy bellies and extra cuddles are hard to resist! But maintaining a healthy weight is super important for their long-term health. Obesity in pets can lead to issues like joint pain, heart disease, and diabetes. 💔🐕

If your pet is carrying a little extra fluff, here are some tips to help them stay in tip-top shape:

🍗 Portion control – Make sure they’re getting the right amount of food for their size and energy levels.

🚶‍♀️ Daily exercise – Walks, playtime, and interactive toys are great ways to burn off those extra treats!

🥕 Healthy treats – Stick to low-calorie, pet-friendly snacks (and maybe save the pizza crust for yourself 😉).

If you’re concerned about your pet’s weight or want some advice, give us a call! We’ll help get them back on track so they can be healthy—and huggable—for years to come. 🐾❤️
