We know this is a lot for our appreciation post but all well deserved and we couldn't just choose one or two!

This week, we want to take a moment to show our deep appreciation for five incredible rescue partners who have gone above and beyond for the animals in our care.

First up is Greenville Humane Society, who came to our rescue when we were overwhelmed with puppies early in the week. They didn’t just step up, they took 18 puppies in one trip, giving them the chance for a bright future. We are so grateful for their support when we needed it the most.

Star Shining Sanctuary is a new rescue partner that we are thrilled to have found us. They took on a big challenge by pulling five urgent adult cats—Boomer, Maui, Sunday, Harley, and Cleo—all of whom had behavior or medical concerns. Their willingness to step in for these cats in need has made such a difference. We are excited about working with you in the future!

Gracie Acres has been an absolute lifesaver as well. After pulling Big Bit last week, they continued their support by taking in Brenda, one of Big Bit’s puppies. They didn’t stop there! They also rescued Bowser (formerly known as Bruiser), Spot, a behavior dog, Angel, who had been with us for 33 days, and Stan, a large dog in urgent need of placement.

Our long-time partner, Day Before The Rainbow, continues to be a rock we can always rely on. This week, they saved a whole litter of puppies that were ringworm positive, ensuring these little ones get the care they need.

Finally, Lighthouse Animal Shelter took two of our long-term residents, Pattie and Peppermint, both of whom had been with us for 43 days. We can’t thank them enough for giving these deserving pups a second chance.

To all these amazing partners, thank you for helping us when we needed it most. While we may always feel like we’re drowning, your support gives us the chance to breathe, knowing that these animals are headed towards loving homes!
THANK YOU AND WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!💜

We are urgently reaching out for your support. We are currently receiving 11 large dogs that are being held for court, which unfortunately means they will not be available for foster, adoption, or rescue at this time. As it stands, we are already over our shelter's capacity for large dogs—15 dogs over, to be precise.

To avoid a crisis, we need to find homes for 20 large dogs by Monday, September 23, 2024, by NOON. This is a critical situation, and we implore our community to step in and help foster these wonderful animals. Remember, just two weeks in a loving foster home can give this dog a lifetime.

If you’ve been considering adoption, now is the perfect time to find your new best friend! Our dedicated rescue group partners have already stepped up in countless ways to assist us, and we are so grateful for their ongoing support.

Do you have room for a few more furry friends? Your help can make a world of difference.

Thank you for your compassion and support!

Weekly appreciation post goes to Fixing The Unbroken!
We’re beyond grateful to our amazing friends at Fixing the Unbroken, who stepped up in a huge way this week! They saved **7 of our behavior and medical cats** that urgently needed placement. 🐾
Our shelter was completely out of room, and they didn’t hesitate—quickly arranging transport and fosters the very same day! We were especially thrilled to see **Dora, Melon Ball, and Clementine**—our long-term residents—finally get their second chance. 🏡❤️
Thank you, Fixing The Unbroken, for your dedication and for giving these cats the care and love they deserve. We appreciate all that you do and we are so thankful to have a rescue partner like you!

• Leo - one of our behavior cats, he was too scared for our adoption floor.
• Dora - was here for 40 days and had bite history and fractious behavior here at the shelter.
• Chocolate - one of our behavior cats who was extremely fractious here, we were unable to touch him at all.
• Adair - one of our behavior cats who was owner surrendered
• Melon Ball - was here for 31 days and had entropion surgery for his eyes!
• Clementine - was here for 31 days, who also was unable to get intake due to her fractious behavior but we have seen her thriving now in her foster home!
• Spanky - a blind 2 month old kitten who is going to need extra care and attention throughout his life due to his vision impairment

Huge Shoutout to Our Amazing Rescue Partner!

We’re incredibly grateful to one of our long-time rescue partner, Labor of Love Transport Rescue, who recently stepped up in a big way! Not only did they pull a medical dog who had been with us for 31 days, but they also spontaneously pulled another pup they spotted in the yard upon arrival!

Thank you for your unwavering dedication and support. We’re beyond thankful for this wonderful partnership and look forward to continuing our work together to save more lives! 💙

Judge (white spaniel mix) - a medical underdog, left hip luxation, multiple pelvic fractures and a right SI luxation. He was here for 31 days!
Tank - was a frequent flyer here at the shelter and was returned just a few days prior before Labor of Love saw him in one of our play yards and fell in love!

We want to give a big THANK YOU to Greenville Humane Society!
We appreciate how quick they were to step up and take 4 large dogs on Monday when we put out a plea for help! (September, Dove, Buddy and Damon!)

We are continually impressed by how seamless they make the entire process, from selecting the dogs to coordinating their transfer and ensuring clear and effective communication. Their responsiveness and professionalism are truly commendable.

The Greenville Humane Society has been a trusted and valued partner of ours for many years, and we are deeply appreciative of the strong working relationship we have developed.

We look forward to continuing our partnership and making a positive impact together on the lives of the animals in our care. we are so grateful to be working with such amazing people!
Thank you once again for all that you do!

Appreciation Post of the Week!
This week's appreciation post is a little different, we have 3 rescues we want to thank - Happy Tails To You, CLiFs No Kill Shelter & Rescue, The Village Mews!

We had many urgent and medical cats/kittens that needed out of the shelter - these rescues stepped up and helped us. They are taking on behavior and medical cats that wouldn't thrive here at the shelter.
Tiger, Tiffy, Young One - all came from the same place, they had some behavior issues such as aggression, not eating, hiding and unable to handle. These cats are now doing great and getting a second chance, thanks to Happy Tails To You

Jocassee - had a leg amputation and had post surgical wound complications. Since going to the rescue they've discovered that he has additional medical needs. Jocassee can now really start his recovery thanks to The Village Mews!

Dash, Pink and Blue - Pink and Blue had ringworm which we cannot keep long term at the shelter and they needed out promptly. Dash had chronic diarrhea and exposure to ringworm and panleuk. CLiFs No Kill Shelter & Rescue stepped up quickly to help them out!

We appreciate all of you so much and we are grateful to have partnerships with amazing cat rescues like you guys! Keep us updated, we are invested in their journey and recovery. We would love any updates you can provide!
