💛 **Rescue Appreciation Post!** 💛

This week we have a *brand new* cat rescue to celebrate, and we are SO, SO thankful for them! **Fixing the Ferals** didn’t just take one urgent ringworm kitten… they took TWO! They rescued **Crisco** and **Sam Wheat**, two beautiful, sweet babies who needed out ASAP. Ringworm is tough for us to quarantine with the number of animals we care for, so these guys are always urgent. Thank you for stepping up and giving them a chance!

Next is a rescue we already adore — **Barker Rescue Project**! They pulled our sweet, long length-of-stay gentleman **Billy**. After 54 days with us (and never complaining!), we knew he deserved somewhere warm and safe to enjoy his golden life. Thank you for giving him that chapter!

🐶 **Now for the dogs — and we’ve got big ones this week!**

**Lucky Pup Rescue** stepped up AGAIN by pulling a true medical emergency: **Champlain**. He came in extremely malnourished, dehydrated, unable to walk, and needed overnight care we couldn’t provide. Lucky Pup didn’t hesitate, and now he gets a beautiful second chance at life.

**Angels Among Us** rescued our girl **Lavender** (aka Chesty), who stayed with us 63 days through thick, thin, and a few dramatic twists. She truly hated kennel life, so thank you for seeing her potential and giving her peace.

**Gracie Acres** surprised us with a last-minute pull for **Thor/Pugsley** — here for 82 days, one of our longest stays in ages. We knew he needed out ASAP, and you made it happen!

And finally… **Lovable Mutts**, who pulled our quirky boy **Klaus**! He gave me a run for my money (he was *not* my biggest fan), but had no problem being a total angel for other staff — lap dog, fetch player, full snuggler. Even with his “selective” preferences, we saw his potential, and Lovable Mutts is giving him the chance he deserves. Thank you!

To all these rescues: thank you for showing up, stepping in, and saying YES when it matters most. Our animals are safer, happier, and loved because of you. 💛

💛 **Rescue Appreciation Post** 💛

This week, we want to give a huge, heartfelt *thank you* to a couple of our incredible rescue partners who stepped up in amazing ways for our cats!

First, **Greenville Humane Society** — you outdid yourselves! You didn’t just take one or two, but *three* ringworm kittens (Maggie, Chevy, and Agatha)! That kind of compassion and commitment means the world to us. Thank you for giving these sweet babies the second chance they deserve. 🐾

And to our friends at **Barker Rescue Project** — we don’t know how you haven’t started ignoring us yet! 😂 Every time we reach out, whether it’s a yes or a no, you always respond with kindness, empathy, and a genuine desire to help. You truly are the best partners we could ask for. Thank you for taking in our “friendly, not-so-friendly friend” **Frederick** — we know he appreciates you too (in his own… special way). ❤️

We’re so grateful for both of you — your compassion keeps hope alive for so many animals every single week.

💖 **Rescue Appreciation Post!** 💖

We are beyond grateful for the amazing rescues that stepped up this week!

🐾 **Gracie Acres** – Thank you for coming to **Maybelle’s** rescue! Our sweet senior girl has always been a staff favorite—full of love and light—and now she’s getting her well-deserved second chance.

🐾 **Rescue Coop** – You saw something truly special in **Larry**, our gentle senior man with quite a list of challenges: dental disease, a heart murmur, arthritis affecting all four limbs and his back, and even a mast cell tumor. Despite it all, he’s the sweetest soul, and now, thanks to you, he’s getting a much better outlook on life!

🐾 **Lost Mittens Rescue** – Huge thanks for taking in **Juniper**, our sweet fighter who suffered a femur fracture and later developed a severe infection after her amputation. She needed out urgently, and you didn’t hesitate—she’s now healing beautifully in your care!

Thank you all for giving these deserving animals the second chances they needed most. 💕

💛 Rescue Appreciation Post! 💛
We want to send a huge THANK YOU to Final Victory Animal Rescue for going above and beyond! After we sent out an email with some available dogs, we never imagined the response we’d get—they chose FIVE dogs to pull!
🐾 Nala & Aroara – came in together as a field owner surrender. Both girls were absolutely terrified and showing behaviors that made adoption difficult, but Final Victory saw their potential.
🐾 Flower – our sweet and beautiful lab mix who just needed a chance to shine.
🐾 Lupin – the most adorable puppy who, somehow, wasn’t getting much attention despite her cuteness.
🐾 Greg – our large medical case with significant hair loss and a splenic mass that required surgery we couldn’t perform. Final Victory didn’t hesitate to step up and get him the care he needed!
We’re so grateful for your compassion and quick action. Thank you for giving these dogs the second chance they deserve! 💛

🌟 Rescue Appreciation Post 🌟
Our hearts are full this week thanks to the incredible kindness of our rescue partners — you’ve each changed a life in such a meaningful way. 💛
🐾 Lucky Pup Rescue — Thank you for stepping up for Sheka, one of the scared girls on our urgent list. Sheka was truly struggling in the shelter environment, but we could see her gentle heart underneath all that fear — and so did you. Because of Lucky Pup, she now has the chance to blossom into the happy, confident dog we knew she could be.
🐾 Greenville Humane Society — You didn’t hesitate to take on Jonathan, a SEVERELY emaciated bloodhound found lying alone in the woods. His condition broke our hearts, but your quick action gave him hope. We are endlessly grateful that he’s now safe, cared for, and on the road to recovery.
🐾 Labor of Love Animal Rescue — Thank you for saying yes to Buckaroo, another heartbreaking case of neglect. Found tied to a tree with a long leash and severely underweight, Buckaroo now has the chance to heal — body and soul — thanks to your compassion.
🐾 Lakeside Animal Rescue — We are so touched by your decision to help Sweet Sally, our paralyzed girl who doesn’t let anything slow her down. You saw past her challenges and recognized her incredible spirit, and now she’s on her way to living the full, joyful life she deserves.
To each of you — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You remind us every day that rescue truly takes a village, and we’re so grateful to have you in ours. 💕

💛 Rescue Appreciation Post! 💛
We’re sending a huge THANK YOU to some incredible rescue partners who stepped up this week for our animals at Greenville County Animal Care!
🐾 Lucky Pup Rescue gave our senior sweetheart Faith the retirement she deserves! At 12 years old, this gentle girl didn’t deserve to spend another day in the shelter — and now she’s safe and loved. 💕
🏡 Greenville Humane Society visited our facility and graciously chose Remy and Buffy to help relieve some of our space. Both are amazing dogs who will now get their second chance!
🐱 Barker Rescue Project didn’t hesitate to take in Goldie, a precious 1-month-old kitten born with a congenital abnormality that left her back legs turned backwards. She can now live her best life!
Thank you so much to these rescues for always looking out for our sweet friends and giving them hope beyond the shelter. Your compassion truly changes lives! 💛

💛 Rescue Appreciation Post! 💛
This week, we want to give a HUGE thank you to several amazing rescue partners who stepped up for some of our most urgent dogs!
🐾 Passion 4 Paws came through just in time for Sally and Misty — two girls who had been in our custody for over 50 days.
• Sally, a sweet and energetic girl, struggled with behavior challenges in foster care.
• Misty, a timid soul, came in so nervous she could barely walk and also faced challenges with other dogs in her foster home.
Both girls were extremely urgent, and Passion 4 Paws gave them another chance!
🩺 Day Before the Rainbow didn’t hesitate to take in two medical case puppies — Onyx, who suffered a spiral leg fracture, and Honeybee, who has a fractured bone beneath her right eye. They’re now getting the care and comfort they deserve!
🐶 Dog Squad stepped up for Atticus, a sweet, gentle giant who’d been living with an untreated leg injury for over a year. Thanks to Dog Squad, he’s finally getting the treatment he’s needed for so long!
We can’t thank these rescues enough. Because of your compassion and dedication, these deserving dogs are finally getting what they need most — love, healing, and a fresh start. 💕

💛 Rescue Appreciation Post 💛
This week, we want to send a huge thank you to Carolina Loving Hound Rescue for stepping up without hesitation for Tracy — a truly sweet girl battling severe demodex.
Tracy was in rough shape, scratching herself raw and covered in sores. The morning after intake, we found her a bloody mess and knew she desperately needed out of the shelter to start healing.
Carolina Loving Hound Rescue answered our call right away and gave Tracy the chance to get the care and comfort she deserves. 💕
Thank you so much for your compassion and quick action — you truly made a difference for this precious girl! 🐾

This week we had not one, but two incredible rescue partners step up in a big way—and we couldn’t be more thankful! 💙
✨ Barker Rescue Project came through for not one but two little fighters in need. First was Frankenstein, a sweet kitten struggling with ringworm, being underweight, and battling an upper respiratory infection. On the very same day, another ringworm case came in—Wasabi—and without hesitation, Barker Rescue Project took them both. Thank you for giving these kittens the second chance they deserve!
✨ Chow Charmer made an equally huge impact by opening their hearts to not one but two senior pups. First, they pulled Topaz, a gentle 12-year-old with some skin issues but plenty of s***k left to share. Then, they welcomed Freyja, another 10-year-old senior girl who desperately needed out of the shelter. Large senior dogs are so often overlooked, and your willingness to give them love and care means the world.
To both rescues—your quick action, compassion, and commitment bring us so much hope. Thank you for being part of these happy new beginnings! 🐾❤️

This week, two of our amazing rescue partners stepped up in the nick of time for medical emergency cases, and we cannot thank them enough. 💙
💫 Gracie Acres came through for Bluey, a sweet cattle dog found by ACO dragging herself after what appeared to be a car strike. She arrived with a fractured femur, a luxated hip, multiple wounds, and a suspected hemothorax. Thanks to Gracie Acres, she quite literally got her second chance at life.
💫 Red's House Rescue didn’t hesitate when Sonjie, a Belgian Malinois, came in the very next day also suspected of being hit by a car. She suffered a luxated elbow and several open wounds. Even with a tough ER battle ahead, she’s still fighting—and it’s because Red’s House Rescue gave her the chance to keep going.
To both rescues: you are the reason we hold onto hope in this field. Thank you for giving these dogs the futures they deserve. ❤️

This week may have been quiet, but two very special souls still got their second chance! 💛
• Blanche – At 11 years old, this sweet senior wandered up to a finder’s home and landed in our care. Blind, deaf, with cherry eye, dental disease and tracheal collapse—shelter life just wasn’t the place for her. Huge thanks to Dede’s Angels for scooping her up so she can spend her golden years loved and comfortable!
• Sam – Our gentle boy arrived trembling, scared of every loud noise and new thing. He wanted affection—taking treats and allowing pets—but couldn’t relax in the busy shelter. Labor of Love opened their hearts and home to give him the quiet, patient care he deserves.
To our rescue partners: your compassion turns tough beginnings into happy endings. Thank you for being their heroes! 🐾
