Saturday Shoutout 💛🐾🐰

We’re ending the week with a BIG dose of gratitude for two amazing rescue partners who stepped up in very special ways!

First up, **Gracie Acres**, who came through with not one—but *two* HUGE and *surprising* pulls:
🐾 **Tino**, a sweet boy hit by a car and treated in our shelter clinic, ultimately needing an amputation. He was still in sickhold when Gracie Acres said *yes*, after 25 days in our care.
🐾 **Auggie**, a longtime staff favorite who had been with us for **53 days**. As wonderful as he is, he was starting to deteriorate in the kennel and struggling with social interactions. He became *urgent*—and Gracie Acres gave him the lifeline he desperately needed.
We are so incredibly thankful to have you as one of our trusted rescue partners!

And now, for a unique twist…
Meet **Hoptimus Prime** 🐰—our sweet little *bunny* who wandered onto someone’s porch and refused to leave. After his vet exam revealed two necrotic wounds, we knew he needed immediate help.
**Crossroads Animal Rescue** saw our plea and didn’t hesitate. They stepped in and gave Hoptimus Prime the medical care and soft landing he so badly needed.

To **Gracie Acres** and **Crossroads Animal Rescue**: thank you for being the lifelines these animals needed. Your compassion and action change lives—and we’re so grateful to have you in our corner. 💛

Double the Gratitude 💛🐾
This week, we’re celebrating two incredible rescue partners who stepped up in a major way to help us move some long-stay and urgent cases out of the shelter!
First, a HUGE thank you to Jesse’s Place for graciously and quickly pulling two of our long-term residents:
🐾 Hurricane – 46 days in the shelter
🐾 Rover – 51 days in our care
Both were large dogs who had simply been waiting too long, and with space at a premium, Jesse’s Place came through exactly when we needed it most. We’re so grateful for your ongoing support and quick action—thank you for being part of the solution!
We’re also sending major love to our neighbors at Greenville Humane Society, who took on two big cases this week:
🐶 Leo, a 5-month-old puppy who had been growing up in our shelter for 51 days, finally got the chance he deserved
🐱 An urgent 1-month-old kitten with ringworm—a tough case that GHS didn’t hesitate to say yes to
Your willingness to act quickly and compassionately means the world to us—and even more to the animals you save.
Thank you, Jesse’s Place and Greenville Humane Society, for being the kind of partners every shelter dreams of. 💛

Saturday Shoutout 💛🐾

Today, we’re sending our heartfelt thanks to **two incredible rescue partners** who made a *huge* difference this week!

First up, a warm welcome and BIG thank you to **PetConnect Rescue**, a northern-based rescue and new partner we’re so excited to work with!
They didn’t just step up—they *sprinted* into action, pulling three sickhold puppies, all siblings:
🐾 Slinky, Snuggles, and Short Stack
Slinky was even battling pneumonia, but that didn’t stop PetConnect from confirming quickly and getting them on the road to a brighter, healthier future. We’re truly grateful and hopeful this is the start of many more lifesaving partnerships ahead!

And a massive THANK YOU to our longtime friends at Hampton’s Hope Sanctuary for saving **Five-O**—a sweet, well-deserving pup who spent **59 days** in the shelter waiting for someone to come for him. You gave him that chance, and we’re so thankful.

To both rescues: THANK YOU for being the difference. You mean the world to us and these dogs. 💛

Appreciation Post 💛🐾
This week, we’re giving a HUGE and heartfelt thank you to our longtime friends at Passion 4 Paws—a rescue that always steps up, and this time… they went above and beyond.
They pulled TEN dogs.
Yes, you read that right—10 large dogs, all in one day!
🐶 Scooby, Gaston, Cheerio, Hammie, Armstrong, Butters, Bread, Colson, Snorlax, and Valentina
These pups were sweet, wonderful, and so deserving—but they just weren’t getting adopted. Many were staff favorites, and it was breaking our hearts to see them continue to be overlooked.
Passion 4 Paws gave them the fresh start they needed, and we truly can’t express what that means to us. You didn’t just make space—you gave hope. You gave life.
Thank you for being such an incredible partner. We’re beyond grateful for all you do. 💛

Weekly Appreciation 💛🐾

This week, we’re feeling extra grateful for two incredible rescue partners who stepped up in a big way when we needed it most!

First, a HUGE thank you to Dede’s Angels Rescue for pulling six small pups from us—each with their own quirks and needs.
🐶 Dr. King, Dream Warrior, Jed, Dokken, Craven – all owner-surrendered from the same home, some with medical challenges, others with behavior quirks
🐶 Taco – a blind and deaf little pup with additional medical needs

Small dogs and puppies have been surprisingly tough to place lately, and space is tight everywhere—so this pull was a lifesaver. Thank you for giving these special pups the love and care they deserve!

And another heartfelt thank you to Fixing the Unbroken for taking on two medical kittens who needed out:

🐱 Puppy – found in a dog kennel, with ongoing eye issues
🐱 Cedar – a tiny fighter with a fractured leg who still manages to play and hop around like a champ

We’re so thankful to have such dedicated, compassionate partners. You make this work possible—and we appreciate you more than words can say. 💛

Grateful Beyond Words 💛🐾
This week, we’re sending a heartfelt THANK YOU to Mountain Pet Rescue for stepping up for one of our most tender cases—Bruiser.
With zero hesitation and no questions asked, Mountain Pet Rescue confirmed they would take him. Just like that.
Bruiser spent 39 days with us after coming in under heartbreaking circumstances—his owner had passed away, and with no next of kin, he had nowhere to go. He arrived scared and unsure, but slowly started to come out of his shell. After a short time in boarding where he did well, he returned to the shelter and sadly began to decline—shutting down, not eating, and curling up in an employee’s lap with no interest in treats or toys.
This sweet boy was giving up… until Mountain Pet Rescue came through.
Now, Bruiser has the future he deserves—one filled with care, love, and healing. We’re beyond thankful he’s out of the shelter and back on the path to hope. 💛
Thank you, Mountain Pet Rescue. You truly saved him.

This Week’s Heartfelt Thanks 💛🐾

This week, we’re giving a massive THANK YOU to **Hampton’s Hope** and **Gracie Acres** for stepping up *once again* and giving some of our longest-stay pups the second chances they’ve been waiting for!

Hampton’s Hope, you truly went above and beyond:
🐶 **Bishop** – 54 days in the shelter
🐶 **Seymour** – 51 days, left behind after his owner was evicted, and navigating the world *blind*
🐶 **Bob Barker** – a sweet senior with a few old-dog health concerns
Each of them is now on a path to a brighter future because of YOU. We’re so grateful for your continued support.

Gracie Acres, you came through when it mattered most:
🐶 **Kilo** – a bouncy 4-month-old pup who struggled with manners and found himself on DHEC hold *twice*. After 31 days, we were starting to lose hope—until you said *yes*!
🐶 **Bella** – this sweet girl waited *76 DAYS* for someone to see her. You did. And we’ll never forget it.

To both rescues: thank you for being the light at the end of the tunnel for these deserving dogs. You are true lifesavers, and we’re so lucky to work alongside you. 💛

Last-Minute Heroes 💛🐾

We’re wrapping up last week with an extra-special THANK YOU to two incredible rescue partners who stepped up when time was running out!
First, a huge shoutout to Gracie Acres for saving Rosalie and her five puppies!
This sweet family had been in the shelter for 16 days with no foster options in sight. Finding placement for mom-and-pup sets is never easy, but Gracie Acres made it happen—and we are so grateful you gave them the safety and care they needed. 💕

Next, thank you to Jasper’s Legacy for pulling Maya, a large girl who was completely shut down in the shelter. Now? She’s thriving in foster! If you haven’t seen her update—go check it out. It’s transformations like hers that remind us why we fight so hard to get these dogs into rescue.
Jasper’s Legacy also went above and beyond by pulling two adorable pups possibly dealing with ringworm—a situation that’s especially urgent since we can’t safely house them long-term at the shelter. You came through when we needed it most.

To both rescues: THANK YOU for being the lifelines these dogs so desperately needed. 💛
