Today we want to send a HUGE thank you to our amazing rescue partners!

First, Greenville Humane Society — thank you for stepping up to take an entire family together! Linda, Hershey, and their 7 puppies are now on their way to a safe, cozy place. Linda and her babies needed a comfortable spot to land while she was still feeding, and Hershey had found himself on the naughty list with a small behavior concern — but GHS saved the day. Now this sweet family is headed toward warm homes just in time for the holidays!

Next, Rescue Dogs Rock — they pulled an urgent medical case without hesitation. Sweet Tina, only 2 months old, came in with a fracture after falling from a 3-story balcony. Rescue Dogs Rock came to her rescue, and we were so happy to watch her leave. She was such a little sweetheart, and we can’t wait to see her updates!

Last but certainly not least, Dede’s Angels. They graciously stepped up for 4 dogs who arrived with major behavior issues. They were reported to dislike their owner and even attempted to bite the ACO when picked up. They also weren’t leash trained at all. When we asked if they could help with this family of four — they didn’t hesitate. We were honestly amazed, and we can’t wait to see what their future holds!

Thank you to all our rescue partners for putting smiles on our faces and hope in our hearts. You make all the difference! 💛

🐾 **CAT APPRECIATION POST!** 🐾
Today we want to shine a little extra love on our feline friends — and the amazing rescues who stepped up for them! 🧡🐱

First, our sweet girl **Peach**. After **54 days** with no interest and so much waiting, she finally has her second chance! Thanks to **Happy Tails 2 U**, Peach will spend her holiday in a place where she can relax, thrive, and be loved. Thank you for seeing her potential and giving her the happy ending she deserves! 🍑💕

Next, we’re thrilled to welcome a **brand new rescue partner**, **Hissy's & Prissy's**, who stepped up for our two little troublemakers — **Jax and Alex**!
Jax had been with us **34 days**, growing more stressed and struggling behaviorally. When you reached out asking about him, we took a leap and asked if you'd consider taking **Alex** as well. She hadn’t been here as long, but she was clearly unhappy and needed out of the shelter just as badly. And you said **YES** to both!

Thank you, Hissy's & Prissy's, for giving Jax and Alex the fresh start they desperately needed. Your compassion and willingness to act quickly made all the difference. 🐾🖤🤍

More happy tails coming soon — thank you to everyone who continues to support our shelter cats! 💛🐱

✨ **APPRECIATION POST** ✨
This week, we have SO much to be thankful for — and today our hearts are especially full! 💛🐾

First and foremost, **Jesse's Place**, who graciously stepped up and took in **five puppies** needing parvo treatment. This was no small task, and we are beyond grateful. It truly takes a team, and we appreciate *every single person* involved in getting those little ones safely out of the shelter. They deserved this chance — thank you all! 🐶💕

Next, our rescue partners truly **crushed it** this week.
**Gracie Acres**, you answered the call for **Duke** — our sweet, patient boy who somehow waited **74 DAYS** without being chosen. Through it all he stayed quiet, calm, and hopeful… until YOU came for him. Thank you for seeing the goodness in him and giving him the future he deserves! 🧡

And then — a huge shoutout to a **brand new partner** we are so grateful for: **Helping Peeps and Paws**! You pulled my favorite girl, **Gigi**. Yes, she had her quirks, but she was loyal, loving, and blossoming more every day. I just *knew* she had the potential to be someone’s perfect companion. She’s already doing wonderfully in her foster home, and we can’t wait to see her continue to shine. Thank you for believing in her! 💗

Lastly, our dear friends at **Hampton's Hope Sanctuary** stepped in without hesitation for **Allie** and **Sweets**.
Allie came in as a behavior hold due to fear, but she proved so quickly that she’s really just a goofy sweetheart waiting for her chance. And **Sweets**, our precious 10-year-old senior… she deserved to spend her holiday in a home, not a shelter. You made that happen. Thank you for giving both of them the love and safety they needed. 🤎

This week started out rough for us shelter staff, but *each of you* turned it into something that put a smile on our face. You brought us hope, lifted our spirits, and reminded us why we do what we do. From the bottom of our hearts: **THANK YOU.** 🐾💛

To every rescue, every transporter, every foster, every advocate: **THANK YOU**.
You made magic happen this week. ✨🐾💛

A huge thank you to two amazing rescues who stepped up for our urgent dogs this week!
Angels Among Us pulled one of our longest length-of-stay pups — Murphy (aka Willis). This sweet boy waited 75 days for someone to love him as much as he loved everyone he met. He was deteriorating quickly in the kennel, and Angels Among Us is giving him the chance he’s been waiting for. Thank you for seeing his heart and giving him a fresh start!
And Gracie Acres took in our sweet, nervous girl Marge! She was only here 16 days, but her nerves were holding her back. We knew she’d blossom outside the shelter, and Gracie Acres made that possible. Thank you so much for giving her the chance to shine!
We’re grateful beyond words for rescues who step in right when our dogs need it most. 💛

💛 **Rescue Appreciation Post!** 💛

This week we have a *brand new* cat rescue to celebrate, and we are SO, SO thankful for them! **Fixing the Ferals** didn’t just take one urgent ringworm kitten… they took TWO! They rescued **Crisco** and **Sam Wheat**, two beautiful, sweet babies who needed out ASAP. Ringworm is tough for us to quarantine with the number of animals we care for, so these guys are always urgent. Thank you for stepping up and giving them a chance!

Next is a rescue we already adore — **Barker Rescue Project**! They pulled our sweet, long length-of-stay gentleman **Billy**. After 54 days with us (and never complaining!), we knew he deserved somewhere warm and safe to enjoy his golden life. Thank you for giving him that chapter!

🐶 **Now for the dogs — and we’ve got big ones this week!**

**Lucky Pup Rescue** stepped up AGAIN by pulling a true medical emergency: **Champlain**. He came in extremely malnourished, dehydrated, unable to walk, and needed overnight care we couldn’t provide. Lucky Pup didn’t hesitate, and now he gets a beautiful second chance at life.

**Angels Among Us** rescued our girl **Lavender** (aka Chesty), who stayed with us 63 days through thick, thin, and a few dramatic twists. She truly hated kennel life, so thank you for seeing her potential and giving her peace.

**Gracie Acres** surprised us with a last-minute pull for **Thor/Pugsley** — here for 82 days, one of our longest stays in ages. We knew he needed out ASAP, and you made it happen!

And finally… **Lovable Mutts**, who pulled our quirky boy **Klaus**! He gave me a run for my money (he was *not* my biggest fan), but had no problem being a total angel for other staff — lap dog, fetch player, full snuggler. Even with his “selective” preferences, we saw his potential, and Lovable Mutts is giving him the chance he deserves. Thank you!

To all these rescues: thank you for showing up, stepping in, and saying YES when it matters most. Our animals are safer, happier, and loved because of you. 💛

💛 **Rescue Appreciation Post** 💛

This week, we want to give a huge, heartfelt *thank you* to a couple of our incredible rescue partners who stepped up in amazing ways for our cats!

First, **Greenville Humane Society** — you outdid yourselves! You didn’t just take one or two, but *three* ringworm kittens (Maggie, Chevy, and Agatha)! That kind of compassion and commitment means the world to us. Thank you for giving these sweet babies the second chance they deserve. 🐾

And to our friends at **Barker Rescue Project** — we don’t know how you haven’t started ignoring us yet! 😂 Every time we reach out, whether it’s a yes or a no, you always respond with kindness, empathy, and a genuine desire to help. You truly are the best partners we could ask for. Thank you for taking in our “friendly, not-so-friendly friend” **Frederick** — we know he appreciates you too (in his own… special way). ❤️

We’re so grateful for both of you — your compassion keeps hope alive for so many animals every single week.

💖 **Rescue Appreciation Post!** 💖

We are beyond grateful for the amazing rescues that stepped up this week!

🐾 **Gracie Acres** – Thank you for coming to **Maybelle’s** rescue! Our sweet senior girl has always been a staff favorite—full of love and light—and now she’s getting her well-deserved second chance.

🐾 **Rescue Coop** – You saw something truly special in **Larry**, our gentle senior man with quite a list of challenges: dental disease, a heart murmur, arthritis affecting all four limbs and his back, and even a mast cell tumor. Despite it all, he’s the sweetest soul, and now, thanks to you, he’s getting a much better outlook on life!

🐾 **Lost Mittens Rescue** – Huge thanks for taking in **Juniper**, our sweet fighter who suffered a femur fracture and later developed a severe infection after her amputation. She needed out urgently, and you didn’t hesitate—she’s now healing beautifully in your care!

Thank you all for giving these deserving animals the second chances they needed most. 💕

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to Final Victory Animal Rescue for going above and beyond! After we sent out an email with some available dogs, we never imagined the response we’d get—they chose FIVE dogs to pull!
🐾 Nala & Aroara – came in together as a field owner surrender. Both girls were absolutely terrified and showing behaviors that made adoption difficult, but Final Victory saw their potential.
🐾 Flower – our sweet and beautiful lab mix who just needed a chance to shine.
🐾 Lupin – the most adorable puppy who, somehow, wasn’t getting much attention despite her cuteness.
🐾 Greg – our large medical case with significant hair loss and a splenic mass that required surgery we couldn’t perform. Final Victory didn’t hesitate to step up and get him the care he needed!
We’re so grateful for your compassion and quick action. Thank you for giving these dogs the second chance they deserve! 💛

🌟 Rescue Appreciation Post 🌟
Our hearts are full this week thanks to the incredible kindness of our rescue partners — you’ve each changed a life in such a meaningful way. 💛
🐾 Lucky Pup Rescue — Thank you for stepping up for Sheka, one of the scared girls on our urgent list. Sheka was truly struggling in the shelter environment, but we could see her gentle heart underneath all that fear — and so did you. Because of Lucky Pup, she now has the chance to blossom into the happy, confident dog we knew she could be.
🐾 Greenville Humane Society — You didn’t hesitate to take on Jonathan, a SEVERELY emaciated bloodhound found lying alone in the woods. His condition broke our hearts, but your quick action gave him hope. We are endlessly grateful that he’s now safe, cared for, and on the road to recovery.
🐾 Labor of Love Animal Rescue — Thank you for saying yes to Buckaroo, another heartbreaking case of neglect. Found tied to a tree with a long leash and severely underweight, Buckaroo now has the chance to heal — body and soul — thanks to your compassion.
🐾 Lakeside Animal Rescue — We are so touched by your decision to help Sweet Sally, our paralyzed girl who doesn’t let anything slow her down. You saw past her challenges and recognized her incredible spirit, and now she’s on her way to living the full, joyful life she deserves.
To each of you — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You remind us every day that rescue truly takes a village, and we’re so grateful to have you in ours. 💕
