eers to assist in this rescue journey and become the leader and partner for horses and humans a like. Our page gives people a chance to follow a rescue horse from the time it comes in, up until adoption. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that no one gets to see. We all care, and so many want to help, that we want to provide the details of the wonderful results that come from your generous donations. The rescue horses come to us from other rescues or we bring them in on our own. We provide the care, training, and housing for the horse and all the love and attention we can give. The Rescue covers all Vet, feed, and farrier costs thru donations. We are a not-for profit that is 100% volunteers. Our devoted trainers work for minimal charge and when there are no funds to pay them they don't just stop they continue as volunteers. Please follow us for daily postings and invite all your friends. Please feel free to follow even if you don't want to donate when the call goes out. When we send out a call for donations it will be to help pay for hay and feed or vet or pay the trainer, that works with the horse right at our farm. Total weekly donations will be posted and you will be told where the money is being spent . We want people to know what happens to their money they donate and be able to see the progress of the horse and have a part in the bitter sweet experience when a horse gets healthy and finds its forever home. There is so much joy in your heart for them and their future but a little sorrow in their leaving. But then you can help another and sadly there will always be another. So please join us in this Journey and invite all you friends and family.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY from all the horses at Rainbows Edge.
We have seen a lot of heart ache and loss of loved ones that will be very much missed on this day by our followers and donors. This year we want to instead of the horses asking for a Valentine donation specific to each horse and picture to recognize your loss on this day.
The horses at Rainbows Edge want to invite you to make a donation in the name of your loved one, family member, best friend.
Horses are great listeners and feel your energy and emotions. If you could sit in the sun on the ground leaned up against a horse on this Valentines Day who would you tell them about that meant so much to you in your life. They would listen to the happy stories and also to your hurt and heart ache. Some times we don't need a conversation just a kind heart and ear.
Today if you would like to make a Valentine donation from your heart in the name of someone you love that has passed on , human or animal, Please leave a picture, or name , short story in the comments.
Donations can be made through pay pal [email protected] or call Florida Farm and Feed at 850-877-0932 or call AVS Equine hospital at 850-386-3619 or you can mail a donation to Rainbows Edge Inc 981 NW Radford Denson Rd Greenville Florida 32331
When those we love pass on before us ,they leave all the love they had in their heart for us behind with us. As so many go though today feeling the loss a bit deeper let that love they left with you be your strength. Its yours to keep let it swell and warm your heart on this Valentines Day.

ADOPTION ALERT-- Sarge went home today. Home what a simple word that so many animals in rescues are waiting to hear. Thank you Triple R for introducing Jerett to Rainbows Edge.
Rainbows Edge networks with several rescues. If one of us doesn't have a horse someone is looking for we recommend another rescue we believe in. The more rescues network together the more horses are saved and find homes.
Jerett walked in Sarges pasture put the rope around his neck, rubbed it up and down Sarges neck , laid over Sarge he never moved, then placed the halter on him and walked him out of the pasture right onto the trailer. It could not have been a better match. Sarge felt safe with Jerett and very relaxed with him.
May you both be blessed with many years together.

Newest Fashion statement of North Florida farms , ranches ,AG and horse rescues.
Its cold this morning at Rainbows Edge. The humans are dressing to keep warm as the work never stops. There is no snow or storm day for ranchers or farmers. Rescue workers are out in the weather day and night making sure the animals have all they need for their comfort. First thing this morning at Rainbows Edge all horses got dry hay and ice broke in water troughs. Those are the priorities in equine care after that was done then they got their feed. Before the storm hit a roll of hay was picked up and brought to the 3 horses under our care whos owner was involved in a bad car accident. He will soon be back to work and thanks everyone for helping his horses at a time his life flipped upside down.
The horses here and all through North Florida are eating more hay than normal because of the weather and snow. Rainbows Edge needs donations to bring in more rolls of hay. If you watch, follow and donate to any farm , equine rescue in North Florida please consider a donation to help the animals in their care.
If you would like to donate to Rainbows Edge horses you can donate through pay pal [email protected] / zell or venmo 850-509-5224 . Our legal name is Rainbows Edge Inc.
No donation is ever to small . Together everyone makes a difference.
Thank you everyone that shares and donates.

Will it be a mess... well... yeah it will.
Today was spent getting ready for what ever the weather will be in the next 3 days. We went in 3 different directions today. Than you Cay and Cheryl for going to Florida Farm and Feed in Tallahassee to be sure the horse have feed here and alfalfa pellets which we give out wet to all the horses in temp changes like this and also hurricane . We do this to be sure they have moisture and fiber in their bellies , Thank you Alvin for picking up the roll of hay at Monticello Milling and bringing it to the 3 horses whos family needs a little help after a bad car accident . The Director here went to Madison to tractor supply for dog food and guinea food and stopped by Greenville Feed to pick up a couple bales of hay this way we can toss dry hay when we get sleet to help warm their bellies . With everyone heading in every direction we are ready. Thank you all for your help today Will the power go out... yep.
Will it be save to drive... nope.
Stay safe.

Thank you everyone that sent donations last weekend we were able to get 5 rolls brought in just in time before this crazy Florida cold snap. The horses are ready . We got tarps up to create roofs on three of the pasture shelters with older horses in them for added protection from the rain. The 2 baby girls have a Tarp on their shelter as well.
Tuesday we will be heading to Florida Farm and Feed in Tallahassee for feed . If anyone would like to donate for feed you can call 850-877-0932 and they will take your donation over the phone. Tell them its for the horses at Rainbows Edge.
The horses say thank you for sharing and caring about them.
May you all stay warm as the North spends the next week or two visiting Florida.

Nettie says get out there and take care of those horses. So on a raining day like this I got kicked out of the nice warm dry house at day break into the rain to drop dry hay to every horse at the rescue , then at 9 am she kicked me back out into that stuff to drop feed to everyone. then again at 1130 she said they need more dry hay so here I go back out the door. . I know some people think humans are in charge around here but I am here to tell you the humans schedule is determined by the the weather and the animals in the rescue and apparently the dogs in the house. W***y lets me know when its 4pm every day and will not stop yelling at me until I go out and take care of the horses. I have no idea how animals tell time but they sure do . Hope everyone is staying dry as you can.

Jefferson County Fl and Rainbows Edge friends - First thing this morning we got a call from the JC Sheriff Dept, then Detective Johnson that handles Ag calls, then from Deputy Pitman. There were 3 horses that needed help. Detective Johnson knows of Rainbows Edge Feed Bank program to assist horses whose owners are great horse owners, but have fallen into temporary hard times due to an accident or illness (something they have no control of and need temporary help.)
We immediately called Monticello Milling who let Deputy Pitman pick up a roll of hay and we would pay for it later. The Deputy also went on her own and bought a bag of feed. Then we met her at the family’s farm. They are such a nice family and only have the 3 equine and one small dog.
The man was the one in the accident and is very lucky to be alive (pictures are his vehicle he was in.)
With the cold coming in, the Sheriff Dept knew they needed help and we are grateful for them letting us come in and help them temporarily. They are finding everything for their care and the dog while he is out of work, they just need a little help with feed and hay for the horses. That is exactly why Rainbows Edge developed the feed bank program. To keep happy healthy horses with their families that love them.
No one should have to rehome an animal (family member) because of a temporary situation that could happen to any of us at any time.

If you would like to make a donation at this time to help you can paypal: [email protected] or Zell or Venmo 850-509-5224.

Our priority is the horses, so we purchase the product needed and deliver to the farms.
Thank you everyone that donates and shares, together we got this.
