T2 doing some decoy duck retrieving today!
Walked the board and trains and did morning chores by 8 am and with this sunrise it’s hard to not want to get out and train!
Do you want to have a better relationship with your dog? Build a SOLID foundation in our group training classes or 1 on 1 lessons! Tonight’s class was as close to perfect as it gets. Owners and dogs were dialed in, the students (human students) were very good on their timing of the markers and I truly appreciated watching each dog improving by the minute.
We have class registration open for our MARCH 18th class. Spots are LIMITED so be mindful about waiting last minute to sign up. Class will give you a great start for any puppy or even young dog looking to get training.
Meet Gunnar!
Gunnar is a German shepherd! He’s been coming for training for some much needed socialization and anxious neurotic behaviors like scratching the pavement to get to safe destination or even at times getting nippy and barrier aggressive. When we got this dog he could not go into public as he was too anxious and had some neurotic behaviors. He’s still anxious most of the time but now has the boundaries to not pull, scream, or otherwise misbehave in public! Will try to post before video in comments !
Bodie doing some tracking after a few weeks of practice.

Bodie practicing some positional commands.
Fun little video of Zola this morning having some fun doing commands. She’s looking amazing and is healing wonderfully on the inside and out! She’s truly become an amazing dog to work with and I can’t imagine the happiness she will have when she finds her forever home!!
Working on Teaching T2 to calmly hold items and not thrash or chew them. This is in line for his duck retriever training and general retrieval work. Thank you Storm's Ahead Kennels for getting us on the right path. Learned a lot and still trying to get better at this.
T2 did his first ever duck retrieve today in the real world. This was a teal duck. He never fails to impress me when I throw him a new challenge impressed everybody that was with me and we had a great day today.
T2 doing some Goose retrieval! What CAN’T this dog do ??
Hello everybody! Zola is doing wonderful. Have been working on getting the obedience and behavioral concerns under wraps the pass few weeks. She’s learning everyday and taking it one step at a time!
To ALL those who said “He has to have an ecollar on to do that” here’s a video of Bodie doing some obedience with ZERO equipment on. No collar. No leash. Nothing.
Not bad for a 110 pound Rottweiler! Bodie running through his routine with my hands in my pockets! Great job buddy!
Zola doing some work with variable boxes!
Odor 👃: Methamphetamine
Reward: Ball on string
Zola really starting to enjoy the process of scent detection. Here in the box I have a solo item of ScentLogix methamphetamine scent aid.
I’m working on teaching her to be obedient to odor, ignoring the distractions of her environment and going for odor when it’s placed. I’m also working on marking and rewarding for continuation of putting her nose at the source of the odor as well as being more independent. Tons of things she still has to be taught before we move onto final response, etc. but she’s going
Zola day 2 of imprinting on methamphetamine. Having to bend the way I typically imprint to meet this dogs needs but I’m getting progress. Tomorrow we will work on a new drill!
Zola knew sit when I got her (barely)
We have been working on place, sit, down, focus heel, and come. All of which are still very new to her but for only 2 lessons I’d say she’s made good progress
