Good evening, the Contentnea Creek Hunting Retriever Club is hosting its preliminary hunt test in Kinston Nc this weekend 3/9 & 3/10. If anyone has kids looking to gain volunteer hours for school clubs, events, scholarships, etc this would be a great opportunity. breakfast, lunch, drinks, & snacks will be provided by the club. Tentatively the hours are from 7am-5:30pm both Saturday & Sunday with Sunday probably wrapping up a touch earlier. If interested or would like to volunteer, please message me for more information.

Now that we are back home and settled, we wanted to take the time to say thank you to Lowcountry Retriever Club for putting on an excellent hunt this past weekend. It was their preliminary hunt which means the first the club has ever hosted. It went amazing! Thank you to all the club members, judges, volunteers, and landowners for making it possible. We will certainly be attending future events hosted by them. The grounds were phenomenal. We went 5/6 getting passes in started with Yg’s Oouh Somebody’s N Trouble “Trouble” owned by Teresa Harrell and Hylton’s Oil Slick “Slick” owned by Blane Hylton. This was their breakout weekend and they did phenomenal! Our dog Yg’s Not No Southern Belle “Scarlett” also got a finished pass. Our next event is in a couple weekends where we will make a trip to Arkansas. Stay tuned!

7 weeks old today and loving the nice weather and crunchy leaves. Due to uncontrollable circumstances, one black male is available if anyone knows of a family looking their next rockstar of a duck dog, hunt test competitor or just a good ole pet.

4 weeks old. A little update… All pups have their teeth. We’ve started them on puppy mash with food twice a day and milk replacer once a day. They’ve been introduced to different toys, and obstacles to climb over and under. They are starting to grow into their own self. They also have had their 2nd round of wormer. Weights ranged from 3lbs4oz to 4lbs2oz.

Wow how time flies. 3 weeks old today and doing great. First time on mush and they chowed down.

2 weeks old today. Nail trim and The first round of worming medicine later this evening. It’s amazing how fast they grow. All eyes are open, and they’re starting to figure out how to get around on all 4’s.

Huge shoutout to Handler's Choice for getting us squared away with some of the best puppy collars on the market. Check them out as they also make lanyards, leads/leashes, and other style collars. What we like most is that they’re waterproof and don’t hold odor like normal collars and they last so much longer.

It’s crazy how fast puppies grow. A week old today. All 6 are doing well. Weights are ranging from 17.8oz to 24.6oz. Hoping to see some eyes opening in the next few days

Puppies have arrived. Tuesday 10/17/23 starting around 6pm and going till about 1:15am Scarlett gave birth to 6 babies. 2 chocolate males, 2 chocolate females, and 2 black males. They’ve had their dew claws removed and gotten a clean bill of health from the vet regarding cleft palates and all of their hearts sounded good. We will be posting updates along the way. If you are getting a pup, make sure to get us your Gmail as we will also be sharing a spreadsheet throughout them growing up as well.

Big shoutout to our great friends at Top Game Retrievers and their dog Gunner on his first senior hunt test pass this weekend. He’s out of our Zara and Bo Whoop litter. Love seeing our dogs play the game and have success. Wishing y’all many more passes in yalls journey.

Gunner received his first Senior pass today! We are super proud of the progress he has made. We learn a ton today and have a bunch to work on! Congrats Gunner! Young Gun Retrievers

Last weekend we attended the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomacs hunt test, We went 2-2!

🧡This weekend we attended Middle Tennessee Amateur Retriever Clubs test, and we loved it! 🧡

We went 5/6, and titled YG’s Run Faster & Jump Higher aka Nike this weekend!
Zara got a pass
And Deke passed on both days, we hope to title him at our next stop!

We would like to thank the judges, Marshall’s and volunteers who helped make this great and very well run event happen! We will definitely be back

We didn’t go to far from home this weekend, we attended Neuse Retriever Clubs hunt test this weekend in Kinston! Thank you to the club, judges and marshalls. We walked away with 1 title, and 7 ribbons. A great way to end a great weekend.

🍑We made a trip to Twin City Georgia this weekend! 🍑
We attended Coastal Empires HRC test at Beaver Creek Plantation. The grounds were second to none and one of our favorites.

Our Nike girl was introduced to the game, and got a pass in started.

One of the highlights to the weekend was sweet Zara coming home with a pass and a seasoned title!

A special thanks to the club, judges, marshalls, and all that made this magnificent event happen, we will definitely be back. Now to prepare for our next test!

A little late posting, but last weekend we made the trip to Hodges SC to run the UKC event hosted by Cherokee Foothills HRC. I’d like to thank the club, judges, and bird techs for putting on such a well run event. We didn’t take many dogs, but we accomplished what we set out to do. We went 2/2 in seasoned on Saturday, and that was enough for 2 new titles. HR Breeze Hills Arkansas Cuda “Arky” owned by Chad & Karen Cannon, & HR YG’S Not No Southern Belle “Scarlett owned by us. This wraps up our ukc tests for 2021.

Just got in from our trip out to Tn running Tennessee River HRC. We’ve run a lot of events over the years, but this past weekend easily fits into one of the top 5 events we have run. Great club, judges, marshals, and helpers(local 4H chapter). Saw some awesome dog work and met some new friends along the way. We also come away with a couple seasoned passes on our girls Scarlett and Zara. Even had a young dog make the ride to get him used to the extended travel time on the road. He handled it about as well as a young dog could. Now back to training for our next test and opening day of duck season.

Good afternoon. We wanted to give all our puppy owners out of our Foot and Scarlett breeding a heads up. We received notification from the AKC that there was an error in processing paperwork. This has resulted in us having to resubmit the paperwork application to receive paperwork. Bear with us, papers will be out as soon as we get them in
