Well, we did it, folks.🥲 We made it onto Good Morning America!!! We brought a family together on live tv and made little Peter Parker's Second Chance a day to remember for us all. We are honored to have been shown alongside Jana Lake from Wilson County Humane Society and Paul Steklenski from Flying Fur Animal Rescue. NYCSCR's president, Jennifer Brooks, spoke eloquently and passionately about why we partner with so many southern shelters and the threat that poses. We are humbled by Amazon.com's generous donation of $15,000, honored by Good Morning America's desire to showcase animal rescue in a dazzling light, and above all, grateful beyond belief for this opportunity. Tomorrow is and therapy animals are an essential part of people’s lives around the world, showing just how important the human-animal bond is.

In a qualitative study by Purdue University, it was found that facility dogs have a major, lasting impact on hospitalized children, their families and the staff who serve them. Facility dogs help to boost morale, decrease stress and anxiety and create an overall happier mood and experience for all who encounter them.

The impact of the human-animal bond is incredible – showing the importance of keeping animals happy and healthy, so they, in turn, can provide a positive quality of life for those they serve.
