We have been making these Sock Monster dog toys for our dogs for over 20 years now. It all started with our first puppy Bear Dog and old stash of baseball socks. Bear loved playing with socks, so we tied a bunch of them together and called it the Sock Monster. Since then, all of our dogs have loved playing with the Sock Monster, including Charlie!

Charlie loves to stick his head between the railing on the steps. We have no clue why, but it’s pretty funny when you walk around the corner and find your dog like this.

Yay! Charlie passed the razor blade! We never found it…I don’t want to talk about it. He went in for x-rays this morning and I fully expected bad news and they came in with Charlie and said it was gone and he was all good. Thanks for all of the well wishes and prayers. I’m trying to get the before and after x-rays to post them.

Latest update on Charlie and the razor blade…nothing has happened. We don’t think he passed it and he seems fine. More x-rays at the vet tomorrow. Hopefully will get some good news.

Well team…our Charlie can be a rascal sometimes. Most recently, he chewed up a leg razor and actually swallowed about half of one of the thin blades. The vet confirmed via x-ray and we can see it in his small intestine. Right now we are hoping he passes it without an issue. The blade is very thin and flexible so 🤞Going back to the vet Monday for more x-rays. Oh Charlie!

He just got this hours ago…and it’s a real dog toy, not a stuffed animal toy. I thought it was well made. Charlie the destroyer of all toys!

As Golden Retriever owners. We already know Goldens are the most friendly and loving family members. Here’s a photo of Charlie this morning laying under the breakfast table letting our autistic son rub his feet on him. Our son is highly sensory and I imagine rubbing his feet on Charlie is calming. They do this most mornings to start the day and it’s the sweetest thing ever. Just another reason we love our Charlie.
