Last week Four Willows Farm had a very successful boot camp leading into spectacular rides at the 2024 Spooktacular Horse Show. Riders learned all about the show ring and show preparation allowing them to show off all they learned during their weekend rides at the show! Everyone showed successfully for the last out of state show rounding off another successful show season. This weekend Four Willows Farm will be opening the arena and inviting other local barns to come and show against Four Willows Farm riders at the annual Fun Show. Come join us Sunday for some Halloween fun while we show our horses this year in costume!

Up Next: Rhythm’s Revival! The first thing that comes to mind about “Jr” is how big of a heart this horse has! Jr went to the World Championship’s Horse Show in the Five Gaited Ladies back in 2019 and what a great horse he was. Jennifer Boxdorfer says that this horse had the smoothest rack no matter how fast he went!

Rhythm’s Revival is a brother of Rhythm of the Son posted Tuesday both out of Prairie Rhythm. Both horses were broken and raised at Four Willows Farm by Jennifer Boxdorfer then moved on to a different home. Unlike Sonny, Jr eventually made his way home when Jen was at a horse show and heard his name being called over the loudspeaker! Jen went to investigate to see how Jr was and got the chance to ride him again and that she did! Everyone had compliments for Jen and Jr after their ride and the very next day Jr was bought and came back home!

The very next year Jr came back into the same arena at the same show and could not compare to everyone else in the ring he was so out of sight! “Everyone on the rail was cheering for Jr and that was the fastest he has ever racked,” Jen states. Jr coming back time and time again really shows how amazing this horse is!

Today we have Upstate Agent! Upstate Agent is a one of a kind saddlebred carrying Briannna Robinson and her siblings to victory everywhere they went. Upstate Agent began as Brianna Robinson’s show horse in Jr Exhibitor 3-Gaited Show Pleasure classes and was stunning in every ring he entered. This horse’s neck was sky high constantly and he carried himself with huge motion!

Agent went on in his career to carry Brianna to the green shavings at the World Championship’s Horse Show in 2016. This horse made amazing passes at World’s and made Brianna look stunning. Agent throughout the years led Brianna Robinson into obtaining many great victories such as the Region Champion once and the State Champion for Indiana 3 different times! This amazing horse would do anything asked of him.

Eventually Agent was used to teach Brianna’s siblings Marc and Pyper Ellis all about showing, and that he did! This amazing show horse showed with Marc several times teaching him the ropes of showing in a full bridle. Agent even now teaches Brianna’s younger sister Pyper all about the show ring and comes to shows just to let her take a spin on him to get out all of the pre-show jitters. This horse still lives at Four Willows Farm happily teaching young riders the basics of showmanship and carries little ones as proudly as he carried Brianna. Upstate Agent truly is an amazing saddlebred and is one to remember.

CH-EQ Mooi Mooi: A Once In Lifetime Horse. And the horse we are showcasing today! Mooi Mooi’s name, we were told, meant “ beautiful, beautiful” and that he was! This amazing saddlebred was sharp and consistent all the time making him an attractive horse to many! Trainers envied him from the beginning of his career as a talented harness horse that later became an ultimate equitation champion.

CH-EQ Mooi Mooi, started by Jennifer Boxdorfer, went on and won at the World’s Championship Horse Show in Saddleseat Equitation and the Pleasure Equitation Olympics three different times with Sonny, the horse posted yesterday, being reserve in 2015 right behind Mooi! Previous trainer and owner Jennifer Boxdorfer watched as CH Mooi Mooi’s team paraded back to the stalls preparing their next horse and rider for the ring that year in amazement. Jen was happy to see both horses succeed and become such amazing saddlebreds! Jen knew from the very beginning that as a young horse, Mooi would go far in his career.

Four Willows Farm’s Week of Worlds starting off strong with Rhythm of the Son. Rhythm of the Son or “Sonny” was the first saddlebred that was bred, raised, broke, and shown by FWF at the World Championship’s Horse Show back in 2005 completely by Jennifer Boxdorfer. Above Sonny is pictured at the following show showing the same amount of big time motion! Sonny was a character and marched everywhere from the farm, onto the trailer, to the ring, out of the ring, and all the way onto the trailer to go home. At age three Jennifer could canter Sonny one handed outside. Sonny eventually went from being a young 3-Gaited mount to becoming a top Equitation horse.

Now Sonny resides at .stables as a lessons horse at age 22. We are so proud of the accomplishments Sonny made to pave the way for Four Willows Farm into becoming such an amazing training barn producing many more amazing saddlebreds.
