CASS 🩷

📋 7/8 - 7:15P.M. Clinic Update:
Cass is a sweet girl. Looking at her X-rays her colon is pushed down in a slightly abnormal position. I'm concerned her lymph nodes in that area may be a little enlarged and pushing on the colon. I'm going to ultrasound her tomorrow morning and we can get a game plan together from there. She's eating and drinking well though.

📋 7/8 - 5:17P.M. Clinic Update:
Cass is doing well. She has been eating well for us and drinking well. She is walking some when going outside now. She has slept most of the day but is doing well. We will update you if her status changes at all.

Christie from Peaceful Souls Animal Rescue and Recovery met Heartbeat4paws Founder, Dianna at Franklin Animal Clinic with Cass so she can receive continued care. We'll keep you posted on her condition.

PHOEBE 💗 I need a home! 🏡

This young, cute, friendly, sweet and very playful girl is recovering from spay surgery and will be ready for adoption very soon.😍

This little pup has been through a lot and has come so far. ❤️‍🩹 Be sure to read her backstories down below. She has recovered from her past injuries, is up-to-date on all vaccinations/preventatives and spayed.

She'll be a great companion and best friend for someone or a fabulous addition to any family. She's about 1.5 yrs old and weighs about 50lbs. She's good with all people and other playful dogs. It's unknown how she does with cats at this time.

PHIL 🐾 I need a forever-foster friends!

💞 Phil is part of our Forever Foster program ~ Please help him out. 💞

This easy going, older guy is a sweetheart! 💓 He would be perfect with an older person or couple that would just give him company and love him. We just don’t want to put him through a lot of changes. Heartbeat4paws will stay in his life and make sure he's taken care of.

Phil is a handsome and sweet senior guy, who is approx. 12yr old, and weighs about 70lb. 🩵 He is hard of hearing and near-sighted but doing great in our care. He is a very good-natured boy and hasn't had one single potty accident inside! 😁 He will do well in a home where he is the only guy or one with another laid back, doggy friend.

He just needs a quiet, safe, loving forever, foster home - maybe someone who lives a calm life and is home more than, not.

DROVER 💘 I need a foster, friends!

Handsome Drover is still in need of a foster home. 🏡 He has a very temporary place to stay but their home is under renovation from flood damage. 💦😱

Drover is a super sweet & friendly guy, who is about 5 yrs old and weighs 57 lbs. 🐶😺 He likes to play with toys and be loved on. We think he'll do okay with another dog, with a proper introduction, not sure how he does with cats. He is a medical rescue, on antibiotics and needs a safe place to heal. He still needs to be neutered, so no homes with unaltered animals, of course.

HOOVER 💘 I need a home guys! Adopt me! 😁

Hoover is a handsome guy with a zest for life. This little dude wasn't going to let a gunshot wound to the face break his spirit! 💓

He's a happy, affectionate, people oriented guy, who likes toys, occasionally wading through a creek, and exploring new things.

Hoover is about 2 yrs old and weighs around 60 lb. He has a boisterous play style and would love to have a playmate to match his energy. He loves people and is excited to meet everyone. No cats 🚫🐈‍⬛...Chipmunks are his arch nemesis. 🐿️

SUNNY 🌞

He is such a wonderful boy. He is so sweet, playful, and so gentle. He came to the rescue in April of 2023, as a precious puppy around 9wks old.

He has a misalignment of his L4 vertebrae caused by an injury or malformation at birth. This condition has impacted his hind leg function, has caused weakness and loss of muscle tone. He can walk but when he gets too excited, he will bunny hop, sometimes topple over and it takes him a minute to recover. His condition causes issues with incontinence which is fairly easy to manage with a belly wrap.

Sunny weighs about 40lbs, is a little over 2 years old and is in Greenwood, IN. He is a Doberman Pinscher mix, who is good with cats, kids and other gentle dogs. 💞

He is a loving and affectionate sweetheart. He truly is the best boy! 💓

ROSIE 🌹To say this girl put the past behind her is an understatement! 💓

She traveled to Mad River Gorge in Springfield, OH. For a 4th of July getaway with her family to watch her human sister try some outdoor climbing, stay in an Airbnb and enjoy some tasty treats. 🍦

We love that she has such an amazing life and we're so very thankful to her family who also gave very special Heartbeat4paws pup/one of a kind Pogo the best years of his life! 💓

Aladdin's Journey Home: A Fourth of July Miracle 🎆

Heartbeat4Paws pet rescue recently played a pivotal role in a truly heartwarming reunion, bringing a lost dog back to his family after a year-long separation. The journey began when someone spotted a social media post threatening to abandon a dog and felt an immediate compulsion to save him. Despite having no concrete plan, she knew she had to claim him.

The dog's condition was dire; his coat was so severely matted that his true form was unrecognizable. His finders diligently spent hours removing the tangled fur, revealing a tiny, emaciated poodle beneath. For a few months, he was affectionately named Stevie and received loving care from his first foster family. Recognizing his poor health, they reached out to a neighbor who volunteered at a pet rescue Heartbeat4paws for assistance.

Stevie waited almost two months before being placed with his permanent foster parent. Upon arrival, he quickly settled into his new home, seemingly aware that it was a temporary stop. His foster parent scanned him for a microchip, but the initial result was negative. However, a persistent feeling that he had a family led her to perform a second scan at the vet's office before proceeding with seeking an adopter.

The rescue posted his arrival and word of "Stevie" joining the rescue generated an overwhelming outpouring of interest. A potential adoptive family was identified, and they met at the vet's office to discuss the adoption process. During this meeting, it was revealed that a chip was found, and the rescue was awaiting confirmation from the chip company to ensure he wasn't already being sought by a family.

The email arrived, confirming that he indeed had a family searching for him for over a year!!! They sent a beautiful, heartfelt message expressing their prayers for his safe return. His name was Aladdin, a 15-year-old poodle they had since he was eight weeks old. He also had a fur-sister named Bambi eagerly awaiting his return. Arrangements were made to bring him home!

What a beautiful way to celebrate Independence Day than to bring Aladdin home to his family! Dianna, Kathy, and Aladdin's foster parent Kristen met for the reunion and headed to his home.

Upon arrival, Aladdin seemed to recognize his surroundings but was hesitant until Bambi appeared. It was an immediate recognition; his tail began wagging furiously, and that was all it took for the old, blind, and partially deaf poodle to know he was home. He explored his old surroundings, which quickly became familiar again. Aladdin even visited his fur-friend next door to let him know he was back. The love in that room resonated from a group of people that believe God always takes care of you and in this case your furbabies too! To live on the west side and end up on the south side to land on the far east side is a miracle he found his way. There is only one way this happened: God places us in certain places at certain times for a reason.

This incredible journey culminates in a truly beautiful ending for a little dog who faced unimaginable hardships before divine intervention brought him to rescue. His gentle spirit and loving heart touched countless lives. His foster parent feels blessed to have been guided by a divine hand and to be part of "Heartbeat4Paws," an amazing organization led by the remarkable founder Dianna Kaminski Lewis and her dedicated volunteers. This is a story that deserves to be shared far and wide. 💓
