Does anyone close to the farm in Greer have power or at least water? If power doesn't come on tonight, then I'll need to haul buckets tomorrow from wherever I can. Day 6 without power here and the troughs will be dry tomorrow. 🥺 Hurricane Helene really messed us up here

Also, this little boy is doing very well on a bottle but he's a little special... not too bright 😅😅😅 He tries to nurse the fence here? He gets too excited for milk and I have to help him latch on it every day. But boy he wants to be with a person at all times

Read please: All my adult does do have the horn gene unless it specifically says Polled. They may have just been disbudded as kids.
Many of the adults are in need of a hoof trim.
All adults will be dewormed with strong wormer Prohibit before leaving. CAE and Johne's free herd.

Guys, since I'm a foster parent now, I'm finding that also keeping up with all the goats too overwhelming. For the first time in years I've got adult does with kids at side and some without, some pregnant, some open, one older Polled and *homozygous* for blue eyes buck that's ADGA registered (all of his babies are blue eyed) plus a younger buck that's Polled, blue eyed, and moonspotted - and ***loads*** of newborn babies all up for your consideration. I've taken a vacation day from work and will be home all day. If you are local please text me 864-419-5297 your eta and just come in and see what's available. I've got some tiny newborn babies that need lots of care but after I work on them I'll take pics and make an official post later today. But if you can come before that please do.

Thankfully no animals were hurt, but there was an awful fire here yesterday. A neighbor was burning and it got out of control. About 2 acres burned down. 🥺 Very luckily it did not reach the house, just came very close.

This boy is blue eyed and has wattles. I forgot to check on horns but can do that tonight.

Do you still have pumpkins? Feel free to drop them off, our goats would love them! Can't be painted or sprayed with anything though... and keep us in mind for your Christmas trees too! Just can't have anything on it like tinsel etc. Can't pick up, but drop off is welcome!

In the rain and mud (of course!)... Ella had twins just now, one of each... but she has no milk! I need to get them to bottle raising homes asap (will provide colostrum) if anyone is interested... green stuff back guarantee if for some reason they don't make it... blue eyed girl and regular Eyes boy.

In other news, Ella is one of my herd that is very elderly now and I am looking for new homes for them once they have their final babies like this. No green stuff required, must just be an excellent non breeding home.
