🔔 Monday, November 11, Lake City Barks and Rec will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.

We will be checking in and out as normal for boarding. Daycare will be closed and will resume on Tuesday, Nov 12.

We thank all veterans for their service, all patrons for their business and we hope everyone has a great weekend!🔔

PET OF THE WEEK!!

This week is all about Henri!

Henri thinks he is 80 lbs and the big dogs will never tell him any different.

Henri’s favorite activities include stealing toys from the other dogs and giving them side eye if they even think about reclaiming it, showing off his tricks for “awwww”s and snacks (ask Henri to wave hello- it IS adorable), and of course swimming in the water bowls and kiddie pools.

Henri does not think he should be limited due to his brachiocephalic skull so his caretakers have to pay close attention to his breathing and make sure he doesn’t get too hot or over excited. Henri is not appreciative of these efforts. We love him anyway

PET OF THE WEEK!!

This week is all about Bear! This little feisty guy is quite the showman. He must know how handsome he is, because he prances around and struts his stuff to show off his good looks. Bear is quick to show us his twirls and spins during play time, and he knows how to trick staff into getting what he wants! Oh, and don’t even think about passing his kennel door without acknowledging his presence, because your ears will pay for it. 😂💛

PET OF THE WEEK!

This week, our spotlight is on Oliver!

Oliver considers LCBR his second family. He demands treats, cuddles, and play. If you haven’t been nose punched by Oliver then you haven’t met him.

Our staff often have to remind Oliver that watering pails and cameras should not be carried around like toys, he doesn’t have to hug everyone, and bringing us the whole bag of treats doesn’t mean he will get more of them.

This week, our spotlight is on Della! Don’t let this innocent face fool you, Miss Della is ALLLL diva! She is a playful, feisty, hilarious part of our LCBR family, and our hearts are fuller because of her spunky self. Every time Della comes into our daycare doors, she knows exactly where to go to find her best friends.

PET OF THE WEEK!!

We realized our pet of the week tribute didn’t post on Friday, so we apologize!

This week is all about JETT!! Jett has been with us for a few years now, and he have loved watching him grow up and learn new tricks. A few of Jett’s favorite things:
•pulling up to daycare with his head out the sunroof 😎
•jumping over the gate between the playroom and living room to let us know that he doesn’t think the rules apply to him 🤪
•showing off new tricks that he learns during day training

PET OF THE WEEK!

This week is all about Chocolate! If “Puppy Police” was an officially held title at LCBR, Chocolate would definitely wear the badge. This sweet old girl constantly keeps us laughing at her sass. On any given day, you can find Chocolate doing one of these things: napping on one of our couches, barking at all the youngsters in play groups for interrupting her nap time, giving the most annoyed facial expression to staff for walking out of a room without taking her with us, or hiking her leg to “mark her territory” right along with the boys. We love this goofy, grumpy, gorgeous girl so much!

PET OF THE WEEK!!

This week’s pet is Mr. Cooper B. We had to add several photos to his tribute, because he has several different facial expressions depending on what kind of mood he’s in. Cooper sometimes likes to pretend he was born a Rottweiler, but he gives off more of a Chihuahua personality most of the time. While he would like you to think he’s a big bad guard dog, secretly, he is just a silly goofball who wants allllll the attention. Over the years, and despite his big bark, he has earned the affection of every LCBR team member.
