The crock pot died a natural death after close to 35 yrs. Took Kolsch’s meal prep into considerations and got a slightly larger one that will make 5 days food at a time.

Today’s movement puzzle. Started with the foam pad only and added one object at a time. Starting and stopping with Kolsch feet on his overturned bowl. At the point where I added the pool noodle over the top, he had to go inspect each new addition before going through it.

Camping since Thursday. Nice and peaceful, relaxing and quiet. Till last night. 4 cars of people pull into the spot across from us and start partying. Kids yelling, likely drunk parents, then today another car shows up with 3 dogs all off leash and not being watched. Half hour in, one of the large dogs wanders over to our van and I yell at the stupid guy to get his dog. He doesn’t even get off his butt to get his dog, just yells at it. Luckily we were almost packed up and ready to go. We had planned to stay another day but couldn’t stomach the other people’s chaos and entitlement. When they first pulled up, just a single car, they asked if it was ok to camp there and I said other dogs would be an issue for Kolsch. Makes sense that they wouldn’t make eye contact once they decided to set up camp.

I really don’t want to wake him but I’m done with my coffee and want to go in to the store. Yesterday he was not his best and he didn’t get much sleep during the day. He had an upset tummy. I think it might be Turkey. Second time he’s had an unsettled tummy while eating mostly Turkey for a couple days. Vet said food allergies usually show up when you first introduce a new food in small quantity’s but Kolsch has never been ‘normal’ in his responses to mostly EVERYTHING. So back to Buffalo and Beef and will try Turkey one more time once his system is stable again, to see if the pattern is real and we need to eliminate Turkey.

Early Vet appointment for some annual vaccines and bloodwork recheck.
Took a long walk on the way back and Kolsch was amazing with all the dogs he saw. (Mostly large dogs, which is harder for him) Found out my all time favorite vet mentored my current vet. 🐶🩺
I stopped at and he took a short nap while I got to drink my coffee.

Can’t seem to catch a break this morning. Went for a walk and tripped on a 1” raised sidewalk in front of a local church.. Kolsch was NOT pulling & I landed hard. I immediately called Kolsch because he was a few feet ahead of me and I had dropped the leash. He came back🥰 I then continued to sit because my knees and hands really hurt. Next thing I knew Kolsch had his nose in my face and was trying to get my attention🥰🥰. I had passed out. I sat up again and slowly made my way to the church steps a few feet away. We made a slow walk back home
Then to make things worst, we had a long 1.5 hour thunder storm with over 9 (that I counted) loud rumble’s.
I’ve passed out at the sight of my own blood multiple times over the years. It’s not fun but it’s not as scary as it sounds. I’m just glad Kolsch didn’t decided something else was more interesting.

The annual 4th of July camping trip has just started! And look at that, Kolsch was actually looking for food! His buffalo trial diet is have good results. Fingers crossed he has the same reaction tomorrow morning. That’s usually a harder time for him but very happy he ate, even after 3.1/2hrs of driving.

I pretended to pack for camping then we went, drove a half hour and got brisket for lunch and he took a nap. Working on reducing packing the van stress.
Will follow with a walk and attempt to get him to eat dinner in the van🤞
