Starting Monday, we’ll be welcoming you and your pets through our NEW entrance as we shift into the freshly built section of our hospital. That means it’s time to renovate the “old” side—one step closer to an even better space for our amazing clients and furry friends! 🐶🐱

Our team has been working around the clock (seriously, 72 hours of dedication!) to make this transition smooth, and we can’t wait for you to see the progress. 💙

Day 1: COMPLETE!!

Huge shoutout to our incredible Day 1 crew—y’all absolutely CRUSHED it today! The hustle, the teamwork, the determination… it was all on full display as we tackled the big move into our new expansion. And that massive cinderblock wall? We’ve got it halfway down!

At the end of next week, we’re making a big move! Phase 1 of our project is officially complete, which means it’s time to transition our hospital to the new side. As part of this shift, the existing wall dividing the two spaces will be coming down.

To make this move possible, we will not be scheduling appointments on Thursday (27th) or Friday (28th). If you’ll be needing medication or food soon, please plan ahead and stop by early next week to stock up!

We can’t wait to bring you along on this exciting journey as we move forward and begin renovations on our existing space in Phase 2. Stay tuned for updates! 🚧🏥🔨

Check out the amazing view from our brand-new double doors! Our renovation is moving full speed ahead—floors, casework, and countertops are coming together, and soon, that cinder block wall will come down!

🚨 Important Announcement 🚨

Due to the unprecedented snow event in our area, we have made the decision to close for (at least) Tuesday, January 21st to ensure the safety of our staff, clients, and beloved pets. ❄️

Your safety is our top priority, and we encourage everyone to stay home, stay warm, and avoid unnecessary travel during this time.

If you have an urgent pet-related concern, please call Avenue Animal Wellness + Emergency or MedVet New Orleans.

🎆 Firework Safety Tips for Pet Owners! 🐾

The holidays can be a stressful time for our pets due to fireworks. Here’s how you can keep your pets safe and calm:

1️⃣ Create a Safe Space: Set up a quiet, secure room with familiar toys and bedding to help them feel safe.
2️⃣ Keep Them Indoors: Avoid letting your pets outside during fireworks. Loud noises can cause them to run away in fear. Secure your yards, fences, and gates.
3️⃣ Drown Out the Noise: Play calming music or turn on the TV to muffle the sound of fireworks.
4️⃣ Use Identification: Make sure your pets are microchipped and wearing updated ID tags, just in case.
5️⃣ Consider Calming Aids: Give us a call if you think your pet may need additional help in the form of medication.

Remember: We are closed December 31st and January 1st. Take action now. Let’s make this holiday a safe one for everyone. 💙

Yes, we are in the unlucky number without power.
We are working on amending our schedule now. Send us an email if you need to this morning, and we are hoping to be back up and running by noon!

If you’re traveling on the Westbank this morning, a widespread power outage will affect your morning commute. Approximately 12,000 people are without power. Entergy says an animal caused an electrical short and damaged equipment.

Estimated restoration time is 12:00 PM.
