Dear Bonejour family
Life takes us in unexpected directions. That has been the case for me my whole life. A first generation American, I got a full scholarship that moved me from DC to Alabama. I graduated with a degree in Biology, Spanish, and a masters in forensic science. I got married. Became a military spouse. Became a pet hotel manager in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, Azores. Became an animal rescuer. Became a dog groomer to help the abandoned animals find new homes. Came back to America. Became a full time groomer, then opened up my own salon with a vision of making the industry about the groomers and pets being happy and not the money it brings in. It was the most amazing journey of my life. And closing the shop to have my twins was one of the hardest transitions. Becoming a mom has opened my eyes to what life really means and I am realizing my path is leading me into another major transition of my purpose. I am going to be retiring from grooming this summer. I am learning new skills and can’t wait to make them a part of my future. I am devastated that I will have to disappoint you all again. I have loved to be a part of your family as your pet’s closest friend. I got to live my inner child’s wildest dream loving dogs all day every day. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve the community in this capacity. There is nothing better than making someone feel brand new, and I got to do that for your critters on a daily basis.
Cheers to all of us figuring out what path our lives need to go down next. Change is hard, but my journey has shown me that if you remain open to possibilities, it can be a wonderful adventure of magic. Just got to follow your heart 💗.
With love always,
Dale
Ps. My sister, Andrea, is doing pet sitting so please feel free to message me with vacation requests. Furry tails is still at the old location and accepting new clients. Ashley and Robin are also still grooming. If you would like their contact info, message as well.
